Going nuts waiting for 3.0/New iPhone

I'm in the same boat... I hope it is unlocked quickly. I'm out of contract with T-Mobile but I don't want to pay expensive AT&T rates.

12 days until the announcemnt and you realize its gonna be another 3-4 weeks until its available...

I sold my 1st gen day before wwdc...figured the 3g would be out within a day or two of its announcement...and realized it wasn't going to be out for a few weeks...it was horrible![/QUOTE


I know it won't be released at WWDC, but I'll have a date to look forward to. I hope it's only 3-4 weeks from then for release. There is that 7/11 rumor. You're right it will be torture, but I'm going to need any $ I can get towards the new purchase. Not sure what AT&T's plans for us early upgraders will be.

I really want an iPhone, but t-mobile gave me the 50 dollar loyaly plan. It's unlimited everything for 50 bucks. Can't beat that.

Does at&t give you a discount on the new iphone if you already have one but won't be at your upgrade period at the time of the release? I doubt it but I figured I'd ask..

What if the new iPhone is exactly the same as the 3g just with more storage. Are you going to still be excited, i no im not.

I recently sold my 5th gen 30gb ipod and do not currently own an iPhone, so yeah I'll still be excited.

You know its funny, but I'm not all that worked up over 3.0. Yeah, I'll get it and install it, but my iPhone is fulfilling my needs right now, so any improvements will be icing on the cake.

I totally agree. 3.0 will have some cool upgrades, but my iPhone is awsome as it is.

Cool upgrades, **** reception, and massive slowdowns. Unless you consider 30 seconds to power down speedy ...
