Wow, interesting distribution here. Would have liked to have seen older models not grouped together. I'm coming from the 6 Plus, which I've had since the day it came out. The phone itself is flawless, but I made the mistake of getting the 16GB version. It'll great to finally be able to experience Hey Siri without being plugged in and water resistance.

Why would you have left out IP 6+? The 6 intro was huge. I voted 7+ because I unfortunately destroyed my 6+, otherwise I still would have it.

Kind of interesting to see how many people are going from the 7+ to a smaller phone.

Does that mean people ultimately think a + is too big? Or does it just mean the new screen and overall design of the X is more attractive?

Will those people go back to a larger form factor X+ if Apple makes one next year?

Has Apple hit a sweet spot size wise with the X? Is the + headed the way of the iPad Mini? Will the X outsell the 8+ this year?

Probably has something to do with getting a screen very nearly the same size as a Plus model, but in a smaller form factor. Not to mention a superior OLED display.

mcdj...were you active during the release of the iP6+? So much about “is it too big...?” Many discussions about trading in for the 6. I have big hands and loved both the 6+ and the 7+ but it was (is) less easy to use. The market for the X is much larger for a lot of reasons.

Sorry, I got bored and didn’t want to keep adding. Lol. I wonder if I could change it now....? Would affect those votes. You can change your vote though.
[doublepost=1509510174][/doublepost]I updated the poll. People can change their votes if they’d like. The older button does include a lot of 6, and 6+’s I imagine. Currently.

Haha the first time in ages I’ve thought a macrumors poll was somewhat interesting and the person who made it was bored. It’s usually the complete opposite.

i am getting 2 silver iPhone X's. the two phones are replacing 2 iPhone 8 Plus's. i upgrade was from the JOD Program and they other one from the Jump program. when i got the 8 Plus last month i took my mother-in-laws upgrade and gave her my 7 Plus, the 8 Plus that the X will replace will go to her and i will mail t-mobile the 7 Plus back.

Going from 7+ to X, wife from 6S to X. My mom and her mom get our old phones. I always upgrade yearly. We buy full price direct from Apple. I am a bit disappointed with Apple for the goof up during ordering and having to wait for 3 weeks, is testing my loyalty to Apple. I might order a Pixel 2 XL in January to compare with X. I love Google Apps such as Photo, Assistant, Maps, Authenticater, Gmail, Chrome etc. I have not used an Android phone in many years, but want to check it out to be able to use Google Assistant which to me sounds smarter than Siri.

I'm not coming from an iPhone. I've been an avid Android user when it comes to phones, the X is the first iPhone I'll own and that I've been excited about having, also the first time I've stayed up until 3am to order ANY phone for myself (although I did stay up once to order my daughter's iPhone 7) Lol I have to admit, I also have a Pixel 2 XL on order I can't totally give up Android since most apps I do are Android

iPhone 5!! I gambled and sold my 7 a week before keynote thinking we would have a new iPhone a week after. I lost that gamble! Now I've been using an old iPhone 5 that entire time. 😱

Judging by poll results alone it looks like we have a lot of yearly upgraders!

That's probably somewhat true a tech forum, but the real question is, are these results actual in the consumer world? Likely not. Price points and overall availability are two stipulations for this new iPhone for the average consumer wanting to upgrade.
