They all look stunning no matter which way you look at it. It's just preference.
I would like to see a version of black/gold, a very trendy combination for FW13/14

I have come to the conclusion that a black face in general i will never go back to. The reason being is that you can see all fingerprints, marks and anything else on the the black face that is not the screen. It just makes it look ugly. On a white or light colored face of the phone you don't see any of this, only on the screen itself. Once the screen is on then you never notice this stuff.

I had a white ip4 what i hated the most was the black rectangular border around the screen which u dont see on the black face phone.
Other than that i agree with u re the finger prints and maybe the white wount heat up as much on hot sunny day.

The gold is very nice, but I had a white iPhone 4 and as I always have a case on I wouldn't see the gold anyway so I didn't want a white phone again. But to be honest I liked both equally.

Space Gray. Funny though - I have always been a supporter of white Apple products. My first iPhone was a black 4 and I had a white 4S and 5. To me, the white iPhone stands out as an Apple phone - it's different than the other black phones (which I used to find 'boring'). HOWEVER, I recently bought a black car and I had various problems with my white iPhones having 'warmer tint' than my siblings' black iPhones. So I said I'd go back to black this time. Now, I don't know if I can see myself going white again. I *LOVE* the look of the white phone - but the black iPhone is just easier on the eyes. The bezel on the white got a bit distracting at times, and I just feel more 'submerged' into the iPhone when it has no distractions. Sorta like with TVs. It's why they ALL have a black bezel.

I do still like white Apple products though and I can see the appeal haha. It makes it so hard every time a new iPhone comes out ... but hey, the black fits my car and my accessories, my MBP, etc.

I wouldn't say amazing, but I went to the Apple store to check out all of the new iPhones and the gold for me looked better than the space grey. I'll be getting either gold or silver, most likely gold.

I had originally thought I wanted a gold phone. After seeing it in person I wasn't all that crazy about it. I went with the Space Grey instead. :)

i actually think the space grey looks way better in person but the thing I don't like is how the home button looks

gold in person was very disappointing some angles you couldn't tell if it was a silver or gold

I went with silver love the chrome ring around the home button and the classic look

I'm surprised it's this close considering how white doesn't usually fare well in these polls. Gold seems even more volatile.

It really boils down to preference. I know a lot of people who wouldn't even consider a white phone. I bought the space gray phone since it was all they had, but I also ordered the gold version for whenever it comes in stock. Once the gold gets here, I will replace space gray and pass it down to my wife who puts cases on all her phones.

Both are really nice though, I like the Space Gray way more than the old slate.

There's just a certain level of professionalism that black conveys compared to the other options.

I couldn't imagine trying to get a job in, say, law enforcement, going to the interview, and busting out a white/silver or white/gold iPhone. That just screams "Look at me! Look at me!" IMO.

I think if you are in an important job interview and you "bust out" your phone... the color wont be the reason you don't get the job.

Personally, I like the silver/white one the best, but I will likely get the grey. It's a bit more masculine.

I purchased space grey but to me it could not be described as "looking amazing" though I do think the champagne color fits that description.

Although the Space Grey is stunning, I despise how much of a fingerprint and dirt magnet it is lol. I'm still trying to find a white 5S but so far I think I have a better chance of finding at a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow...

Black and Gold

Here you go. For those of you who don't particularly like Apples' champagne gold and white here's an alternative. And when you tire of the black and gold look, just peel it off and it's back to the sophisticated space grey ;)
BTW, this is $11.24 on Amazon with free shipping vs $14.99 on Skinit, with free shipping on a $40 order.

I owned both Space Grey first. Looks elegant. I returned the space grey when I was able to purchase a gold one. I have owned black since the iphone 3gs and I waned something different as in a white iphone. Glad i purchased the gold one because it looks awesome in person.

Currently have a black iPhone, but after looking at the options, I might actually trade in my 5 for a 5s white/gold. Not sure why, but I just really like it. . . which, of course, is enough;)

Gold looks amazing online!

In real like though. It looks like... I don't know. Too washed out for me.

So here's an updated. I'm gonna eat my words, because yesterday I said I would easily trade up for a white (be it gold or silver). I managed to get one yesterday, and set it up... upon using it I quickly realized that Space Grey has won me over this time around (coming from a white 4S and 5). White / silver is being returned today.

I don't even think the gold could sway me back to a white iPhone right now. Even though my main complaint about the Space Grey was that fingerprints show a lot more. Space Grey wins this round, my favorite part of it is the colors, and also how subtle the home button is. Unfortunately my black leather Apple case was returned. I think an invisible shield is in order :)

I have the gold...coming from a black/slate iPhone 5 (then previously a white 4S and a black 4). I tend to alternate, with the S models in white, the number upgrades in black.

With the 4/4S in white vs black, I think the black looked clearly better...the all white design was a little bland for me on my 4S.

With gold vs. space gray (and silver), I think it's a very different ballgame (as was the same with the slate vs silver last year). Both gold and space gray look really, really good. In the store, when I looked at the whole rows of iPhones, i thought the space gray looked fantastic, with the silver actually looking best with the gold last. After having the gold for a week, and not having things all lined up in a row under fluorescent light, I think the gold looks utterly fantastic, and now when I see a space gray 5S, while it still looks good, it also looks kind of boring. The gold 5S has a very subtle sophistication, and the way it changes the look depending on the lighting is really quite beautiful.

I think if you've had black phones forever, you sort of owe it to yourself to pick up a gold or silver 5S...if you've stayed with white for a while, you owe it to yourself to get the space gray.

While I somewhat regretted getting the 4S in white just because it wasn't all that exciting, I really, really like the gold, and am glad I eventually went that way, because in the beginning I was all about the space gray.

Had Space Gray first and returned it because of all the fingerprints and smudges seen clearly. Gold was a better choice for me, not a fan of Space Gray but I did like Slate and would like it paired with Champagne.

Space Gray does have the industrial design look for sure, but it's hardly "stunning." If anything, the iPhone 4/4S was more stunning. Same with Slate and they should have released black and gold to be on par with that. Maybe they'll do that next year for the iPhone 6.

This is an interesting question for me. Because I ended up getting the Gold. However, before the Gray was released I thought I'd have the hard time deciding between the Gold and the Slate from last year.

I am on my 3rd iPhone. I've owned:

3GS white
4S white
5s gold

After owning two white I was all ready to go to the black/Slate from iPhone 5. I never liked the black before that one. I just thought the slate and black combo was so SHARP. So, before the Gold or Gray were announced I was all set to get the black/slate.

So when the rumors of Gold appeared I was contemplating Gold vs Black/Slate.

However, I hate the lighter Gray.

Not sure but I think if the Black/Slate were available I'd have chosen that over the Gold only to change from a white face after my 2 previous white ones

I do LOVE my Gold too though.

Just not sure if given the other option which I would've chosen.
