Women love buying lingerie for themselves. It's fact.

Alright, well, I say you give her the gift that keeps on giving... Crotchless panties. :D

How old is this chick? Would she like something cute like a build-a-bear?

I think you should stick with the show.

I only wear dental floss when the outfit really calls for it...
Oh man, we've been together for some time now and I've since gotten lazy- no more such outfits for me. ;) When I buy skirts/pants/dresses/ I specifically go for ones that I don't have to wear thongs w/ anymore. :D

You'd buy her tickets to a sports match? I'd be sleeping on the sofa if I did that.
Funny, I've asked my guy to take me to a baseball game or pro football game (since I've only been to a few Cal games). I have zero interest in following teams, just figured I've never been to a pro sporting event and it seems like something fun/new to try out. But he's not interested...

i agree with your logic, but for a birthday present?
And he doesn't want to take you? All men turn into different animals when they watch sports - maybe why ;)

Trust me... there are more ways to intrigue a hetero man than just w/ an outfit. ;)

Funny how that doesn't seem to work the other way....
Well said. :D I really should try to go to London/Bath :p and meet up w/ some of you UKers.

Oh, I could not agree with you more. So many ways to entertain us guys.
I was refering more to getting lazy in the relationship as a whole. That happened to an ex and I after living together for a few years.

Thats like say strait to her face: I don't have enough time to care for you so I got you a peice of plastic.

uhhhh whatever, if I got a gift card at Sephora.com then I would be the happiest person, especially when I spend thousands a year there anyway! Gift cards do rock when they are from the right store. But I noticed someone mentioned Tiffany's, ya can't go wrong there either!! I have had my eye on Paloma Picasso's jewelry line for awhile---received a Tiffany's catalog in the mail the other day featuring some new jewels!! ;)

But it takes really very little to make me happy these days---something that cost 5 bucks can make my day just for the fact I feel like someone cares about me and that I actually exist in this world! :)

I agree. Sometimes I can't help but to think, "If you really cared, then you'd either enclose a gift receipt or just up and get me a gift card from a store I frequent." But it's true, anything is nice... even if it's 'only' a greeting card; it really does feel nice to have somebody acknowledge you.

Yeah, I bought something for a special someone there a few years ago.
It was one of the embracing heart rings. It was not terribly expensive and the customer service was amazing. I actually went to the store.

Yes the sterling silver items are not that expensive...too bad I am allergic to nickel which is in everything made of sterling silver!!! I have to have the white gold or platinum OR I BREAK OUT IN A RASH, so everything I want is thousands of dollars even if its one damn pair of earrings!! :D :)

My girlfriend will be turning 38. She has a TON of clothes, lets just say she has the biggest closet I have ever seen and enough clothes to cloth an entire 3rd world country.

Dinner
Show
Jewelry?

See that is why I was thinking MAKEUP or JEWELRY. Geez, that is all I want besides some Apple Gear!! Well I take that back, my list is endless!! hmmmm I'll keep thinking about this some more!!! :)

its fun to think about gifts and shopping......I am glad as a guy you posted this thread...shows you care big time and you want to make her happy!! :)

Dinner at a fav restaurant is a given!! Does she like going to a spa--you could hook her up with some facials or reflexology, massages.....

What about some of her favorite tv shows??....you could buy the DVD's of a complete season for her. Me personally, I want the ENTIRE collection of all seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer this Christmas....it was one of my fav shows ever and I love Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Still thinking though.... :) I decided an hour ago I was done for the day at work anyway!! ;)

Magazine subscriptions..... Cosmo, InStyle, W, Us weekly, glamour, shape, Lucky (she probably gets this one if she is a shopper), etc..???? Does she like any of these??? My apartment is covered in magazines--I love them!! I love them even more when they are sent to me in the mail and I don't have to pick them up at the store!!

And I LOVE MacAddict of course too!! ;)

Very good one! The SPA trip is excellent. I have had great luck getting that as a present. I can't think of one woman who would not love that. I got a full day of spa for my mom one birthday and she was in heaven. She still brings up that present to this day.

I would suggest something that doesn't involve spending lots of money, since that seems to be your main focus. It would be a good and suprising change, something she wouldn't expect.

Maybe write a song and cook dinner for her.

Lol... yeah, but to me, getting the gf a gift card is... just... kinda of, rude i guess. I dunno. The only reason I would get my gf a giftcard is to a spa or something. Otherwise, IMO, its like... hmmm, that was hard to find.

PS- I was the one who suggested Tiffany's! lol.
