Ooh, nice. Does that mean it's coming today? Keep me posted on how yours turns out, you'll probably get yours before I do.

Still says Wed delivery called Amazon and they said its scheduled to arrive Wednesday also :(

I'm still crossing my fingers for today.

Well - hopefully tomorrow it comes.

My one day shipping went from Hebron KY to Sharonville OH - still 1200 miles from me :(

It shipped yesterday at 6:40 AM from Hebron KY...

That could simply mean it left the facility which is not necessarily the same as in transit but no doubt it is in transit now. This makes sense due to the holidays... I am sure you are in good hands. If it was shipped via UPS then at least you will have good tracking info. USPS has poor tracking. Also, often a package is shipped from Amazon via Fedex to your local USPS office where it is sorted and delivered locally - this is often the slowest method.

It is not uncommon for me to get several amazon deliveries each month for this or that so I am familiar with all this stuff. I do most of my online shopping on either Amazon or eBay

Received my MacBook Pro this morning.

Purchase Date: August 23, 2011
Battery Count: 31

The follow quote is from the Amazon Warehouse FAQ:
Like New - A "like new"" item sold on Warehouse Deals is in perfect condition, but due to the condition of the packaging, it does not meet Amazon.com standards for new product. For customer-returned product, it's possible that the previous customer opened and removed the product from the original packaging. If a returned item comes back in perfect physical condition and through our testing process we determine the working condition is perfect, the item may be deemed "like new." Physical damage to the outer box of a factory-sealed item in our warehouse can also lead to the condition being taken from Amazon.com "new" to Warehouse Deals "like new."

It has several small blemishes - the end of the charger plug which connects to the MBP is dinged. Slight wear on the top edges of laptop. Keyboard shows more wear than anything. 31 battery count seems high for open box - they could only have it 15 days - unless I'm not the 2nd owner :) Top of the lid has a couple small wear marks.

Just got mine! I was a little worried because the computer was so cold when I took it out of the box. It's been in the 20s in Boston, and clearly UPS let the package sit somewhere without any kind of heat. I let it sit for a little bit before I turned it on. Cosmetically, it's perfect - from the keyboard to the body, no scratches at all. The worst thing was a couple of smudges on the screen, so I'm really pleased with the condition. It also had Snow Leopard, which I was really hoping for.

Just got off the phone with Apple and they changed the warranty date, so now it expires January 1, 2013 and is eligible for Apple Care until January 1, 2015. I thought they would be finicky about it, but they were very nice.

I'm super happy with the purchase. :) Thanks for the heads up, OP.

Awesome - did you check the when the original purchase date was? also what is your battery count?

Yes, the original purchase date was May 2011. Battery count is 19, and the battery is reporting 100% health. It does have some fingerprints/smudges, but I'll just wipe it all down when I'm home and near my microfiber. I was most concerned with scratches, so I'm good.

49 minutes on the phone - first person lost my call and had to be on hold for 20 minutes before someone else answered. I think they are going to move my purchase date - they want email with my amazon receipt then they will review my case. :)

Apple has horrible hold music btw

Yes, yes they do. I had to listen to "Little Dummer Boy" like three times. I emailed them my receipt as well, but the guy just had me hold on while he opened it. Good luck, hope you get it sorted.

I bought the 13" version of the MBP from the warehouse deals..

Came in yesterday.. 3 charge cycles... looks like brand new, but doesn't include iLife [ even though it has 10.7.2 pre-installed ] or restore DVDs !!

How can I get the iLife bundle w/o having to buy it from the App store ?

Also, got a great deal ... less than $750 shipped :D

Lion doesn't have restore discs - has recovery partition. I am going to contact Amazon about iLife - However there description of product doesn't include it. Hope I get it.

What is your purchase date on the machine? I love the battery count :) Which 13 model did you receive early 2011? low end? high end?

I paid 1,340 - its 16xx now :)

I saw it went up by like $300 - super glad I got in on it. I wonder why Apple decided to axe iLife. It's a useful little bundle, even if they decided not to update it further.

I think Amazon axed iLife from it - because my Apple Box says it includes iLife

I don't think it's just Amazon, though, there have been reports of other people buying Macs recently and iLife not being included. It's odd, but most of them have reported being successful with contacting Apple. Apple just sends them the disc, you guys might want to try that if contacting Amazon doesn't help.

I will call Apple - still no reply about moving my purchase date. Let me know if you call Apple about iLife also. Can you PM the email address of the AppleCare person you sent receipt to?

I just got my 2011(early) 13.3 Macbook Pro from Amazon Warehouse. It's my first Mac and I have really enjoyed it so far. It looks brand new and only had 1 charge cycle on it.

I thought that all the macbooks that were not sold when they updated the Air recieved Lion. Mine only is up to 10.6.8 which I believe is still snow leopard. Should I give them a call to have it upgraded? Or do I not qualify?

Mine also didn't come with iLife, but was expectiing that.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I bought it on 12/30/11 .. It's an early 2011 machine.. i5 @ 2.3Ghz ; 4GB Ram [being upgraded to 8 once I get it from Newegg! ] ; 320 HDD ; 13.3" Screen ; DVDRW etc.. I'm assuming that's the low end config.

Another thing, I can't check the warranty coverage from Apple's website. It wants me to call ; email or fax the sales receipt.. hmm.. However, when I first booted the laptop, it had me register [which went thru successfully ] just like any new computer!

Let me know if Amazon or Apple agree to ship out iLife DVD at no charge, so I can harass them too :p

Congrats, especially on getting one with just 1 charge cycle!

My friend [who also ordered one thru the warehouse deal] received a 10.6.8 unit [ SL ] and it not able to upgrade to Lion at no charge... Mine, however, came with Lion. So, I guess it's a draw of the luck with these warehouse deals!

Either way, you got a very [like] new computer at a great price, so I wouldn't stress any over not getting an updated OS! Just my opinion!

Make sure yall call AppleCare and have them move your purchase date so you get a whole year warranty of your product.

http://www.apple.com/support/contact/

The above link you can check purchase date and find AppleCare phone number.

1 battery cycle is amazing - im jealous did you also pay less than 750 for the low end 13?

An early 2011 low end 13 goes for like 900 on CL where I am from.

Thanks for the replies.

After 2 hours on the phone with Apple they changed the date. The first several weren't very helpful, but the last two were want I had expected(dealt with apple care before). They were very nice.

I was told that I will be able to upgrade to Lion for free after the date change is complete.

iLife suite really isn't that important to me. My box did have two CD's in it, not sure if it would be included in one of those.

I paid 805 for it. I was planning to get an Air for the longest time, but at that price I thought this would be a better deal. The 200 or so I saved(was going to do Best Buy open box) will allow me to get some things for it. Or if the 2012 macbook pro is a must have maybe I'll trade :) .

I was on the phone for 50 minutes and they wanted me to email receipt after the call ended - said they would contact me within 24 hours - that has not happened. I will call tomorrow - took screenshot of my call :)

Two DVDs should be for Snow Leopard Install & Application they shipped restore disc before Lion - Since they are giving you a free upgrade you will have both OS X - kinda cool.

805 is good - what I like about buying these from Amazon Warehouse is the fact you can sell them later and not lose as much value. Plus you basically have new computer (full warranty and recourse if the computer you get is fault - just mail it back).

The rep said on the phone that she would read over the email and call me back, but I already sent it so I asked if she could read it now. From reading this thread I was prepared :) .

Thanks for the info on the disks. They kept hinting at calling Amazon for the iLife so I might do that.

I was happy with 805. I was thinking the same thing in regards to value. Not the reason I bought it, but it's a nice bonus.

I have a 2011 iMac that came with iLife - but doesn't include iDVD and iWeb so I am planning on contacting Apple. Read several posts here that if you ask them about it they will sent you a free retail version of iLife 11. "So I will need to buy a retail version of iLife for $49.99 to get iDVD and iWeb - basically paying for iMovie | iPhoto | GarageBand twice?" So I will start with Apple and then call Amazon if need be. Tell Amazon the box you sent me said my machine included iLife.

I will let you know of results with Amazon and Apple

Wow that is pretty cool that Apple let you guys switch the start date of the one year AppleCare on an "open box" item.

Something strange happened.. I opened the App Store, clicked ' my purchases ' and iLife was listed there... I surely did not purchase it !!

Clicked INSTALL on the three items [ iMovie : iPhoto : Garageband ] and they downloaded/installed just fine... No charge anywhere..

Awesome - do you have another Mac that qualifies for iLife?

Since Apple suggested I talk to Amazon I just talked to them about the iLife apps and they immediately offered a refund that covered the price to purchase it.

Really happy with the support from them.
