Good Deal? Mac Pro Contract

Sounds like a way for you to justify your spending of the money. If you seriously needed it for work or getting things done, then you wouldn't need a contract.

A contract? Everytime something like that has came up in my relation, a la let me buy this and you can do that, its for things we don't really need, just for extravagances.

Granted nothing wrong with extravagances, but what are you going to use it for?

Why the hell a dual screen Mac Pro though? from your user habits a low end iMac might even do the trick if you're just after a desktop solution. I don't even use two screens that huge for video editing... There's just no point! At worst two 24" screens is fine but once again for your web dev stuff there is no need at all.

The point of a Mac Pro is the power and ability to upgrade... It's just not the right equipment to buy if i'm honest. 8 cores of dreamweaver and flash, my macbook has completed many websites for thousands of pounds and i've only got a gig ram and a core duo (not even 2!). For web design just get a macbook pro or stick with what you've got so you can take you sites to show clients as well as sitting in coffee shops working away.
 
so what does she have to refrain from doing, or what are you getting in return from allowing such restrictions? where does she make a sacrifice, or where are you rewarded?
