I haven't tried them myself, but Sennheiser makes some in-ear phones that you should be able to get at your price point, and I'd be inclined to trust the brand.

Thanks, Mickeydean, for the Sony MDR-1000X recommendation. I've been considering them. I'm interested in knowing how much of a distance you can get with the bluetooth with the iMac. What has your experience been? Thanks !
I can get about 10m without distortion with direct line of sight. Bose QC35 I got maybe 6m. Just my experience. I don't think I got a dud Bose, the sound quality for the Sony is much better.

The multi-device connectivity is better on the Bose, well 2 devices at a time. Sony always pairs with last device. It's a bit annoying but I value the sound.

Thank you - very useful info!

I still haven't found any good earphones
Any new recommendations?

Which ones have you tried?

In the time that this thread has existed, you could've bought, tested, and returned a dozen pairs.
I've tried VModa XS but they are headphones
I've tried Apple air pods - didn't like them at all
I also prefer wired then wireless

I suggested the Sennheiser in-ear phones and I think there were a couple other in-ear suggestions already floated. As far as I know there are no amazing new developments that happened just in the last few weeks.

Have you tried the he Sony Hybrids?
No where did they sell them?
They're not on Amazon

Which Sennheiser ones? There are loads....

You'll notice that in my original post I said "I haven't tried them myself." You came back and said you hadn't found any good ones, giving the impression that you were actively looking for / trying out headphones that suit. Now it appears that you want someone to read your mind and tell you exactly what to buy. That's OK, but your approach isn't motivating me to make any more suggestions. I'm going to point you at Google and wish you good luck.

Okay, look...

There have been many recommendations in the past sixty-five posts. Some weren't exactly what you were hoping for, but plenty of them were.

But you don't seem to have been trying any of them for yourself.

Why should we keep giving ideas, then? What's the point?

I'm going to restate my recommendation that you just get some ten-dollar earbuds at the corner store and be done with your search. You're not listening to .aiff files anyway (never mind that you already said you listen mainly to R&B and hip hop), so it's not like thousand-dollar electrostatic planar headphones will reveal any fantastic details.
