Nobody can emulate the skill that was Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel and the rest of them.
actually my PSP hasn't been despatched since Paypal is as slow as hell when it comes to clearing money from a bank account.

Damm your sarcasm!!! :p

I was looking at viable portable Genesis options and besides the GPX thingy, the PSP seems the best route for the price. Playing on my DS is OK, but the screen's lower rez really puts a hamper on it. At least with SCUMMVM, panning is stylus fast and GAs are casual paced games -- no sound is also a bummer.

I had a Nomad when they were new, but sold it to an old coworker. I also have a Radica Genesis 6 - 1 and found that some people have hacked it with a cartridge slot and even converted it into a portable Genesis, but I don't have these skills.

Blah. None of the new RPGs are interesting me, or I'm just not looking enough. So I would like to play some of the old ones I haven't played since the eighties.

I wouldn't bother with emulation on the DS. SNES was okay, Mario World works fine for me with occasional frame skips. I tried Mega Drive emulation but it just crashed on me.
From what I've seen everything 16bit and under, GBA and PS1 works like a charm. N64 is slow.
My fingers are sooo crossed for fast Amiga emulation. Turrican on the go would make everything complete.

PicoDrive works good from what I tried and jEnesisDS works great from what I've tried -- no crashes. The problem is that I can't read the text on the emulator that scales the screen, or I have to pause the game to pan slowly with jEnesisDS.

I played Turrican on my Genesis. :) So you could, errr, play it on your PSP.

And speaking of Amiga and PSP:

You should get one of these keyboards, it works on the PSP:

I've already got it :) pretty much got a folder ready to be dumped onto a Memory Pro Stick Core Duo thingy with emus and Cave Story :)

Good news is the seller guy has been nice enough to change my delivery from Royal Mail recorded to Parcel Force 24 :D Thursday. I'll have it!

It's a very awesome shooter. There's a Mac version around somewhere. Even on my site! I just can't remember the link :D it's taking a long time to get CS DS out which was a bit of the reason for jumping to a PSP.

I downloaded it two posts ago. :p Now where's my freaking English version, I can't read that foreign language they've put it in with those Japanese like characters. What is it Ket or something... :(

on, I thought of one. Wild arms is a good game and is only $5 on the psp store

I liked the look of Wild Arms, just ordered Popolocrois though so I'm calling it quits till the new year.
Was only £7 sealed on eBay :)

Seems to be one that critics don't like but the players do. I heard it's a simple RPG which will be nice for me to break into the genre with.

I'll have it by 1pm tomorrow. Got shopping and going to some carol-singing concert thing in the evening so I doubt I'll be playing till Friday
