iCloud memory still starts from 5 GB for free then like 10 years ago :D?
Who knows, there might be an announcement about iCloud tiers.

They just announced ProRes on the 13 Pro. ProRes uses an ABSURD amount of space; the 2TB tier won't be enough for heavy ProRes users who want to use iCloud.

Maybe all the tiers will get a bump this year. I hope!

That'll be the Apple 1++ tier, low low cost of $50 US.

Base 128 GB storage on the regular iphones and no price increase. Nice one Apple!

512 GB on a mini! I’m so glad they didn’t hold back anything from the mini that they gave to the regular 13.

I’m sad there’s no purple but I’m keeping my 12 purple anyway. Now I just need to decide between blue and red!
Hey GrumpyMom, yeah, they indeed went all in with the mini this year, this is a great ending for the mini (because, as you’ll know, the iPhone 14 lineup will be 6.1” and 6.7”). I will finally jump on board and get it, despite not having Touch ID and having to wear masks and such... pity they didn’t improve Face ID to recognize people wearing masks.

Anyways, this is a great time to get a mini. I wasn’t thinking on getting the blue, but this years blue seems different. I’ll have to watch them in person to decide between blue and red. If the red is pinkish like this past years iPhone 12 Product(RED), I’ll either get the blue one or the black, we’ll see.

I won’t know until I see a lot more real world photos or maybe even see it in the store, but it looks like a real red this time and not coral. I liked the coral red. I had it briefly. But I much prefer the deep true red like I had on the SE2. That was a gorgeous phone. I missed it a lot when I traded it to help my daughter afford her iPhone more easily.

Storage improved. Interesting that PRIVACY was barely uttered :p
They actually uttered just enough to make me laugh. Still, I appreciate they’re keeping as much on the phone as possible, not just for privacy but it’s faster and you don’t suffer for using Siri if you’re where the connection is poor.

On initial offering the iPhone 6 series was available in storage capacities of 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB which I think was the first time they skipped a storage capacity... They also offered 32GB iPhone 6 series but this was when it was no longer the flagship device...

And today they are back with no storage capacity skipped... 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB for iPhone 13 Pro series...

They should have offered base storage of 128GB back when iPhone 11 series was introduced but it's better late than never?

Was it like this for the 12 pro last year?
They got rid of the pricing of that on their homepage now...
Since iPhone 12 and forward, there's a $30 up charge on all of the non-pro models. This continues to apply even after the discounts to the 12 that began today. iPhone 11 and previous were all at the advertised prices. Prices for all "base" models (unactivated / unlocked) are below:
  • iPhone 11 (Launch: $699, Current: $499).
  • iPhone 11 Pro (Launch: $999 - discontinued).
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max (Launch: $1,099 - discontinued)
  • iPhone 12 Mini (Launch: $729, Current: $629)*
  • iPhone 12 (Launch: $829, Current: $729)*
  • iPhone 12 Pro (Launch: $999 - discontinued).
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max (Launch: $1,099 - discontinued)
  • iPhone 13 Mini (Launch: $729)*
  • iPhone 13 (Launch: $829)*
  • iPhone 13 Pro (Launch: $999).
  • iPhone 13 Pro Max (Launch: $1,099)
*$30 "discount" available from launch and current prices if activated with carrier at purchase (which may result in upgrade fees of up to $35 per device & device locking depending on carrier and payment plan selected).

This was definitely the right move. With apps getting larger and larger and an endless amount of photos being taken, 64gb just doesn’t cut it anymore.

As it should’ve been.
Now, the embarrassing $1000 13 Pro with just 128GB while everybody else is putting 256GB at this price point.

This is good as file sizes increase. I've had my iPhone X since day 1 and I've only used 39.1 GB out of the 64 GB I have. I'm more for iCloud storage increasing/getting cheaper; I'm at 100.2 GB of the 200 GB I've purchased. Granted, my wife is using ~2/3rd of that.

That is flat out robbery......

Isn't that a bit embarrassing for these Android manufacturers since they have so many customers who would be willing to pay more for 256Gb?

Too bad the new iPad mini didnt start at 128GB. I hate apple so much.
The iPad Mini is widely used in so many situations where 64GB is even overkill. I frequently see them in businesses as checkout kiosks or in the hands of employees. Keeping a lower cost option available that’s somewhat utilitarian is important for that market and those use cases
