False equivalenceif I speak slowly and clearly, sometimes Siri can tell me the time
Speak for yourselfAI isn't perfect but neither are humans. most people these days just read the title of the article and take it as fact without any context or evidence to support that title
Cliff's Notes in the US.Remember Coles Notes for books and Shakespeare plays? Welcome to the modern version of it. Only good luck getting the exact precise summary.
Not as strange that you are implying that it’s somehow this posters fault that Apple chooses to use Google (by far the most popular search engine) as a default, while also apparently missing the fact that it’s by no means the only search engine you can use on an Apple device. It seem strange that you are implying that you would never use/trust Google.
And yet Apple chooses to make Google's search engine the default on iPhones and other Apple devices.
I wonder how does macOS do this without any kind of AI…macOS has had this for years:

How to use Summarize in macOS to shorten documents | AppleInsider
The Mac has a built-in tool to summarize long documents and generate a shorter, more concise version. Here's how to use it.appleinsider.com

Not completely, but I do more than Google. And you trust Apple? Just a question, not an attack
tough for them. I use firefox @ my phone. Can use the search engine I want 😉It seem strange that you are implying that you would never use/trust Google.

ChatGPT 4 will have ~176 trillion parameters. Even ChatGPT 3.5 had billions of parameters. Can't see it, or algorithms like it, being managed on mobile devices, but perhaps there will be a breakthrough. But remember, this is all done on server side AI, and so you know how Google handles the data. 😉
(This is why Apple is hesitant on expanding the Siri’s AI further at this time. They want this on machine side, not server side, due to Apple’s huge stance on privacy. Also, simply put, the neural engine on current Apple Silicon is not powerful enough to output AI data the way ChatGPT and other server side AI can do. It’s going to take another few years of die shrink and stuff to finally make super powerful neural engine built into Apple Silicon to make this work.
And students. I teach at a University and already have encountered ChatGPT-generated crap in student assignments. We tried an experiment with our staff. For ChatGPT 3.5, each of our staff were able to distinguish 70-90% of the ChatGPT-generated text paragraphs from actual student writing. Suffice it to say that ChatGPT suffers from fabrication of information and sources, and suffers from vacuous verbal diarrhoea that would put the gobbledygook of even the most contorted EULA's to shame. After seeing what happened to lawyers using AI - I think I’ll read the articles myself.
Whatever the hell Siri is, it's been the longest running joke for as long as I can rememberWhat does Siri have to do with an article about AI? (Siri is 100% human-curated and not AI)
Trust can be relative and based on expected motivations. And you trust Apple? Just a question, not an attack
That’s what Apple’s hoping to do with their neural engine on Apple Silicon. It will take a huge breakthrough to get it working but from industrial rumor mill, that’s what Apple is working on as privacy focused company.ChatGPT 4 will have ~176 trillion parameters.
