Oxymoron of the year: Google Safe Browsing
Having been CTO for one of the 500 largest web sites in the world, I would say it is more likely that people find comfort in accepting the propaganda they have been fed when it comes to be believing things are safe and their privacy is protected.May have something to do with how well you understand the underlying technology. People tend to fear what they don't understand.
End up accepting advertising as facts…May have something to do with how well you understand the underlying technology. People tend to fear what they don't understand.
Around 65% worldwide, 60% US. So yeahPeople still use Chrome? Weird.
My dislike of it came when I went to tune up my Dad’s computer. Other software we had on there all kept downloading and installing chrome along with their updates. If you have to trick people into using your product….well you know the rest.People still use Chrome? Weird.
I guess with everything I know about people, that sounds about right.Around 65% worldwide, 60% US. So yeah
Smugness is overrated
I don’t know what plugin (or combination of them) it is that’s working for me, but I’ve never once been affected by any of Google’s recent ad blocker shenanigans. It keeps catching everyone else out but I somehow keep slipping through the net! Will it be possible to watch YouTube with an ad Blocker now on chrome? If I want to use. an ad blocker on safari, I have to browse YouTube in private mode. Otherwise I get a ” you’re violating YouTube terms of service by using an ad blocker“🍸🙀
Why don't you try countering those points instead of just listing them and groaning like a child. Here again the commenters saying “ouuu chrome is so BAD for privacy, x browser is SOO much better, chrome still use SOOO much RAM, Google IS SOOO Bad.”
