You're serious?Gotta say, people’s blind trust on Apple and unconditional hate on google is mind boggling.
Because VPN does something different. There is no way for the remote server and web page to know who is visiting the website. And Apple doesn't know what website you are visiting because there are two servers, unlike a VPN where there is one.Is this free? If it’s not, then why wouldn’t I just pay another VPN service?
You are apparently glib, but unfamiliar with Google Fi.A Google VPN?
Now there’s a contradiction if ever I heard one…
What's Google Fi? Google Finland? If you are a Google Fi user it is free.
i know, right? wtaf?Boring 🥱
Google Fi and VPN is a USofA-only story. Not relevant to the rest of the world.

I find it equally ironic. Why would you trust the company you are trying to get away from with keeping your data away from itself.Google and VPN
Is like drinking beer while eating watermelon - recipe for diarrhea.
And to think so many will fall for this.... sigh....
Sigh, the VPN service requires you use their cell phone service. They don't offer the VPN as a standalone feature.I find it equally ironic. Why would you trust the company you are trying to get away from with keeping your data away from itself.
Their VPN will more likely serve as a funnel to make it easier to collect and sell your data under the guise of “better user experience”.
Do you think our IT folks missed something then? How are we allowed to use Chrome when everything we do must be DFARS compliant?Speaking as an infosec professional: you’d be a downright FOOL to use this. We purged Chrome at work after it came out that it is, in actuality, spyware. Don’t trust this crap from google. It’s designed to trick those non tech savvy but privacy concerned individuals.
Well technically a VPN sees everything that passes through it. It could be used to filter out known sites and domains that have malware and social engineering stuffs.More protection from hackers?
do the people in marketing even know what hacking is?
