have you used other products?

what do you use it for?
If it's for streaming netflix or movies, roku 3 is much faster and smoother.
If it's for watching local content, Apple TV is completely useless unless you're using airplay.
But airplay can stutter if you're streaming 1080p bluray resolution so it's better to directly connect HDMI.

I had a logitech google tv, and before today Google TV just looked horrible. Never used a Roku so I can't speak to that, but I do own roughly 125 movies on iTunes. It's just ridiculously simple to find something my son wants to watch, and throw down the 10-15 bucks to buy it. Wait a minute, now that I think about it, maybe that's a problem.

Fugly.
Although i applause the tech moving in this direction, i still haven't seen anything i'd actually be prepared to proudly put on my wrist.

That's ridiculous considering Google prompts you to choose the default app, there's a notification menu option to select the default keyboard, and I've yet to meet someone (even my 68 year old grandmother) that doesn't know to hold down on a widget to change it. Just stop.

The same was said about apple's Control Center. "Only tech geeks would want this.", "No way this makes it into iOS.", "Blah blah blah blah".

Call it what you will. The average non-techie person will buy an Android phone over an iphone because A) it is cheaper or B) it has a larger screen.

Every time I see someone with a Galaxy S5 I always ask them why they chose that phone and 90% of the time the response is "I like the big screen".

You and I live in a different world. We look into advanced features that your grandma wouldn't care about nor would my sister.

The only thing I miss about Android is the screen size. There is no cutting edge feature that Android can offer me as a user that would make me want to switch back so calling an OS "obsolete" just because its not to YOUR liking is a pretty bold statement.

And very nice too. In fact, stunning.:)

thank u sir!

it's not the best picture of the watch.

this pic from the internet is much better.

Jobby said it best himself, man... "People don't know what they want until you show it to them."

I see.
Well if you have 125 movies on iTunes you really have no choice :)

That's just really awful.
Attempts to replace the watches with a nerdy digital smart watch will not work (at least for those of us who like watches).

There's also those of us who don't even like wearing watches or fit bands or anything on our wrist.

I'm sorry dude but changing your default application or keyboard is not a mind-blowing feature someone doesn't really know they need/want.

Like I said I was on Android for 2 years and there is no feature I really miss a lot except for the screen size of the phone itself.

I'm sorry Google and probably Apple too.
There are many of us who like watches.

They are among the only men's jewelry.

To be fair bud, anyone that owns a Patek Philippe (such as yourself) would never refer to anything on their wrist as a watch. They're timepieces. But that's neither here nor there. The Moto 360's look pretty gorgeous (this coming from a guy with Breitlings and a few Mont Blanc's)

Subjective, man.

Here is my watch. Not as expensive but I do like it a lot.

timepiece is a pretentious word for watches IMO.

Your making the accusation - you tell me.
I can only speak for my phone, LG G2 which is much faster then 5S.

You are not talking facts here. In all of the reviews I've read, people said both phone are fast and the different is minor. In some cases, 5s performs better while the G2 is better in other cases. If you don't agree, please provide proof. Also keep in mind that it takes the G2 quad core to be able to be on par with the 5s's dual core.

I've used s4, s5, 5s and 5s beats them both in terms of performance and experience.

I don't think you could show me a good picture of that watch. Doesn't look like anything special let alone price of a luxury car special.

I don't know what price you are thinking of but you can't get a luxury car for the price of a simple watch from Patek.

Apple is going to surprise, in a different way, than most I believe are anticipating regarding their watch. All of these manufacturers seem to be fixated into packing the smartphone experience into your wrist. Apple on the other hand has clearly been focused on the health/medical aspect, and the other stuff will likely just be a bonus tag along. Wasn't there just a rumor recently about Apple seeking FDA approval, and that is potentially what is driving an impending release date?

Just like you calling iOS obsolete :p

I didn't... I said most could say that iOS is obsolete compared with Android.

As a guy who uses Android alot (HTC One, Nexus 5, Note 2, G2), I've yet to encounter a phone that is as quick and reliable as my 5S. Anyone who tells you different is lying.

Very cool. I've been incredibly impressed by both Apple and Google with their respective developer conferences this year.

No one gives a rats ass about these watches. They are as useless as the news about them.

This is the only watch to care about.

After watching I/O I think it was an overall poor performance with many speakers coming across nervous and unsure, products bland and dull.

Android Auto has promise but the UI looks cluttered.

Android Wear looks pathetic and so simplistic as to the point of being confusing and fussy to use. severely hope iOS doesn't look like this.

The thing is though very little time was spent on these features and they felt rushed. The main product deemed to be layering within windows on the phone acting like layering and skeupmorphism is new, Apple has been doing this a long time now >.>

hope ur right.

A jack of all trades is likely a master of none.

Except the Chromecast is #1 on amazon and the Apple TV and Airport Express (two seperate products which each cost more than the Chromecast) are not.

And same again with the Chromebooks. 10 top highest rated notebooks on Amazon by customer reviews are all chrome books. So Apple doesn't make the most well loved Notebook either?

I mean I get what you're trying to say that Google can't be amazing at so many different things but the numbers say differently. Chrome #1 browser in the world. Android most popular mobile operating system. Chromebooks highest satisfaction among amazon customers. They even make the best thermostat now with their Nest purchase.

Obviously they are doing a lot of things better than Apple.

I'm skeptical about Google's continuity feature because it is very difficult to get any 2 Android devices on the same version let alone 3 of them.

what happens if you own a chromebook, A Samsung phone and a Kindle Fire? Goodluck with that "seamless" integration. Unless it works differently.

I'm not certain on this as I don't own an Android device but I believe Google now makes core API's available as a Google Services update instead of a major point release.

So for customers to get the API's required to make continuity work they may only need to update the Google services through the Play store and won't need to flash any new roms.

Again I may be wrong but I remember them doing this with their updated location API's and Game API's last year and I would suspect they are doing the same with the newer API's.

As for the Kindle Fire, I don't really see that like other Android devices because it doesn't even include the Play store and it's just Amazon creating a fork of Android for their own uses.
