Also, their Tech Specs don't appear to be very complete !
Is that 1.2 micron pixels on the Back Wide a native spec, OR with Pixel Binning ?
If 1.2 micron native, then it could be the single-best image sensor in ANY smartphone !
1.2 micron native would equal 2.4 micron with pixel binning, & would be an improvement on Apple's 1.9 micron pixels !
This issue needs to be flushed-out ...

I doubt that they wanted worse performance than the best Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.
It's too bad that they can't put that power into a smaller phone, though. I continue to look at Android but won't buy a phone bigger than my pocket.
At least Apple's website kinda works during their launches...

This phone craps on the features of the iPhone, and at a fraction of the cost! Also love how Google is focusing on underrepresented groups (translation services, pictures for POC). This shows that Google building a product for everyone, while Apple only tries to build an exclusionary wall focused on the rich and well off.
Would the camera bar get caught pulling it out of pockets? MKBHD did a mini review and said dust definitely collects around the camera bar.
Been this way since the Nexus days. It used to be pathetic, now it is just embarrassing. I am trying to buy a Pro but one minute it is out of stock, the next it is the 500 error.
Camera bar is a non-issue as once in a case (immediately) it'll be flush, am also very keen to try out the MagicEraser.
What is a concern is the Double Embargo Google have enforced. No power-on reviews are allowed to be published until next week. (25th)...
Edit: Just seen that Apple have done the very same thing with the new Mac's, embargoed until the 25th. Must be a thing....

Good call, but samsung chips aren't any good to begin with, aren't efficient, get hot just from staring at them.
Should've designed their own chip from the ground up.
Not a fan of the 1960's design, I take it. It's got a very ST:TOS vibe with the color choices and black band. If I could change the voice assistant's voice to that of the TOS computer voice...🤔
I'm not sure if I could have waited this long for the Pixel when I bought the samsung. Not really a fan of the look of these phones but it looks like they are taking the Samsung Flip approach with that black border.

I don't know why, after yesterday's Macbook Pro announcement, it's like everything that comes out from any other than Apple is just lame - for me.
I love Apple products but I also love other products. I was excited about the Surface Pro line-up from MS, but it's like Apple bypassed them like a rocket bypasses a bird when I saw MBP.

They can sell it at a cheaper price because of the adware they run on them. No thanks.
I am confused. What do they mean by privacy in Google phones? Everything you do on it will be scanned and tracked right? Just like how everything on G Suite is scanned and tracked for the personalized ads. Is it safe to assume these Google phones will do all the scanning and tracking and even more? and that's why they can lower the price right?
Ordered the 2 and 3 directly after the events in previous years without much of an issue. I have no idea how they are stepping backwards.
