Ordered the 2 and 3 directly after the events in previous years without much of an issue. I have no idea how they are stepping backwards.

That's true now you say that, I ordered the 3XL without issue. I bought the Pixel 1 a few months after it was out and skipped P2 so didn't really test them there. I can just remember now how much pain I went through trying to order a Nexus 4. That scar runs deep, apparently!

Google are primarily a software company, I cannot fathom how they cannot maintain a store. It's not like there are many products on it.

I have always respected the Pixel stuff, would be my 2nd choice if Apple was no good.

That, though, seems awful for carrying in my pocket.

I can get to my cart, but I have no ability to get past to see shipping options or availability. I am torn between 2 colors but just getting the broken robot.

About to give up being an early adopter this round.

Exactly the same for me. It is only a pre-order and if I remember rightly, it isn't always a first come-first served deal with Google. I'll try again tomorrow, have already wasted far too much time on it today!

As do many on here. What is your point?
Google is not exactly known as a company that fights for the privacy of its customers. So if you think Google is great, I'm surprised if you suddenly become very reserved about your private life.

Go back and re-read my posts, where exactly do I say that "Google is great"? Pretty sure they have been more critical than complimentary so far.

I do however like the Android experience, it meets my needs. Is that ok with you? Please do be sure to let me know if not.

The Cyclops phone 😂

I don‘t care for the camera hump on the back, but that’s a really nice phone, especially for the price. Google is being super competitive here. High end phones are essentially commodified at this point. You buy a nice newer phone and it will do everything you expect it to do and maybe even find a few surprises. It all comes down to your personal preferences, especially with operating systems. I just wish there was one more OS in the running to create more competition.

I don’t care about the bump or Soc or nerdy benchmarks, even my old Pixel 3 was more than good enough. I am excited to see what the camera can do
Switching from my iPhone 6S to the Pixel 3 was a much easier and more seamless experience than I expected. However, I still just generally prefer iOS compared to Android, so I’m waiting in a 13 Pro Max right now. I need to know different phones for my development work, so in the next couple of years I’ll get my first Samsung. I like the Pixel 6 better than any of Samsung’s offerings, though.

I don't like the design & I don't like their color options !

Also, their Tech Specs don't appear to be very complete !

Is that 1.2 micron pixels on the Back Wide a native spec, OR with Pixel Binning ?

If 1.2 micron native, then it could be the single-best image sensor in ANY smartphone !

1.2 micron native would equal 2.4 micron with pixel binning, & would be an improvement on Apple's 1.9 micron pixels !

This issue needs to be flushed-out ...
The new pixel use the Samsung GN1 Camera sensors

It has native 1.2 micron pixels and 2.4 micron pixels in 4x binned mode.

The GN2 sensor actually has 1.4 micron pixels and it even larger(it's used by the Mi 11 Ultra) but most likely Google was already for working for quite some time on the Pixel 6 by the time this sensor became available.
Anyway the GN1 is an absolutely great camera sensor and together with Google's industry leading photo algorithms it will take very impressive photos in all conditions.

Also I really like Pixel 6's design with it's symmetry on the back and multiple color tones, it's different in a good way, reminds me of the Nexus 6P.

Aggressive pricing. Nice.
Don’t worry people will still insist on replacing their current Samsung that broke after 18 months with another Samsung even though they hate bixby, the galaxy store, and all Samsung apps. They won’t consider another android phone because they don’t even know they have an android phone just that they “like galaxy”

Well I’ll tell you the AI for google assistant is so much better than Siri or Alexa it’s ridiculous. I disable Alexa on my tv and forget about Siri. Have a google speaker here and use that instead and it is literally worlds smarter than the other two. It actually makes me want to use a voice assistant which is impressive. And this phone looks pretty nice especially for the price. Keep it up google and give Apple some damn competition!

Curious to see how the magic eraser works. I mean I know it’s just a clone/stamp tool, but curious how the AI would handle it. Im all for Google building a successful SoC. More competition the better.

You can try an earlier version of it within Snapseed (bought by Google). It worked pretty well for simple removals even 7+ years ago i first used it.
