I have a GS3 along side my 4S....I still prefer Tom-Tom over both....But for quick searches I always use maps on my 4S and then Navigate using Tom-Tom using the tweak from cydia.

I like that it alerts me when there is a Traffic cam at a light. This feature is bad ass..lol

TomTom does have speed warnings, but I don't use them.
Which is why I quoted and asked the person who does use them.

You do the speed limit out here and you are often holding up traffic. I prefer to drive with the general flow of traffic.

That said I know of people who got speeding tickets simply because they didn't realize the speed limit had changed. I have watched the speed limit indicator in Navigon change at literally the same time I passed the physical speed limit sign.

For us iPhone people we didnt have free turn by turn voice nav available.
And I rather not stare at google maps while driving.

I was commenting on your so-called "android user mentality". If there is a great free option, why pay for it? I bet a lot of iPhone users will drop their third party nav apps if Apple's option in iOS 6 works well. Is it because they are cheap? No. It's because they were given an alternative that works well that they don't have to pay for. That's not a uniquely "Android user" trait, I wouldn't think.

I know but in general when it comes to apps iOS users buy and spend a lot more than android users.
Not just because theres no free options but they like quality apps without advertisements all over the place.

So I'm confused here?

Are you trying to say Android users don't try to brag about having cheaper apps?

Did you even get what he was trying to say?

There are also fewer add-free apps on Android, in general. For whatever reason Google Play (still think it's a stupid name) has been accepted by devs as an ad revenue place. Give people the option to buy ad free. I bet you will see them take it.

Android users bragging about cheaper apps is just as stupid as Apple users bragging about "more" apps. The intelligent user on either side of the fence doesn't partake in such childish and meaningless banter.

I hear you on that.
For example I would much rather pay for an app 99 cents with no ads than to get the same one for free with ads.

$40 is too much money and you own an iPhone?

It's all relative. If you are going to use it no. I own an iPhone. Would I wipe my butt with $40? HELL NO! $40, for me, is too much for an app that doesn't provide added value (again, for me) over a cheaper (free) alternative.

All that said, I actually bought Navigon WAY BACK when there literally were no turn by turn options, not even Tom Tom (because, at the time, it DID provide unparalleled functionality).
