What good is a mapping map without the map? Honestly.

Seriously! I just want a mapping app that doesn't get the directions wrong. Google's might be slightly better than Apple's in EU cities, but it's still a Cronenberg-esque monstrosity of bloat, including the cadaver of the formerly brilliant Google Trips. I appreciate that Apple Maps is mainly just a map.

Boy so many cool things coming out for the Apple Watch, got to upgrade my old Apple Watch 0.

I had a series 0 Watch, and then an upgrade, and then now I have the most current processor speed-wise with a series 4 Watch. Your 0 does the essential things, but man, you are REALLY gonna notice the speed boost if you get a new one. Can actually do stuff, well, other than just tell time and notifications and count your steps. And it's fun to do the other stuff.

One thing series 0 users never got was the ability to see a list of recent purchases paid with the watch, if you use apple pay. The feature was first enabled in the watchOS 5 software update, which the series 0 never got (wonder why apple waited so long to add something that could and should have been there from day one)

As much trouble as Apple Maps caused in its infancy, I’m much happier using it now over google or Waze.
Google maps had its growing pains as well. I think at least as far as my location goes I can forgo GM and use Apple Maps all the time now.

I'm in Edmonton, and Apple Maps once tried to murder me (by telling me to turn right - where there was no road and a new LRT track with a passing train. Would have ended very poorly).

Plus, Apple Maps only does speed limit display on major streets, while Google Maps does them even on my residential roads.

And Google Maps has never tried to murder me...
I haven't had that issue specifically, but my issue is that it will send you to businesses that moved or closed years ago, or sometimes it will send you to the right area, but have all the business locations in the area (like a local strip mall) messed up like they assigned the businesses to locations randomly.

I was asked that the app will send haptic feedbacks and I tapped OK but still don't get any haptics. Does anyone else have the same problem?

And most of us live our lives not in fear of the boogyman. If the poster I quoted wants to live in fear, that is his or her choice. I’ll continue to use Waze and other apps that make my life easier.

Most of us aren’t. Until someone decides we are.

The lack of Apple Watch support is what drove me to use Apple Maps more extensively.... and now I almost exclusively use aMaps
YNMV with Apple Maps. You live in the US and more particularly in California, Apple’s home state, so Apple Maps works best for you, but it doesn’t work as well in other places, especially other countries outside the US and maybe Canada. Here in Mexico, for example, we’re missing too many features from Apple Maps to be able to really enjoy it: no updated more detailed maps, no look around, no transit or biking directions, no indoor maps for any malls or airports in the country, hardly any locations with flyover and just recently we got the nearby places feature working. Without all that, apple maps is garbage compared to Google maps here.

Ah I see. My mom travels for work across the US and Canada with no issues either. Both of us use it exclusively for driving directions only... and I use Moovit for transit. (And have used Moovit even when I used gMaps)
