stop complaining!

what u can't wait for a subpar Apple Maps program on the new iphone?!?!:eek:

jeeeesus christ!

oh but youre okay with iAds i bet

So we should expect this from Google, that's what you're saying?? So I should expect to watch a video ad for every YouTube video I want to watch?? I mean, that's your reasoning. Not mine.

When you Google search something and it has sponsored links, those are related to the search. Not some random place on a map.

So, open your eyes and realize what Google is doing. If you like ads, great but for the majority, we do not like having ads thrown at us at every turn.

How do you know that the maps will be subpar??? I'm guessing that you are Apples secret tester of finished products. Please.

I don't think the maps app throws a sponsored link for every search on the map. At least I haven't experience that?

From my experience with the advertised sponsored places, they do seem like they are similar to the business type I am looking for. Sometimes the business itself is the sponsored link.

I'm pretty sure the advertising of sponsored places could be better. Which I'm pretty sure they (Google) would be working on. They could make it make better sense for the consumer using the map and the business buying the advertisement

For one second I thought this said "you'll get AIDS" and I got extremely concerned.

lmao me too.

Btw nothing in life is free. I'm sure Apple pays Google licensing fees to use their service on the iPhone, and those fees are partially paid by us consumers.

Plus, just because something is free doesn't mean we should accept obtrusive ads. The OP isn't complaining about paying for something that is free. He's complaining about the fact that the ad is obstructing a small function of the app he is trying to use. I'm all for ads on free products (though I usually pay for apps to get rid of them). But imagine if you had to watch a video every time you open a "free" Apple/Google app. It's not an elegant solution that we expect and appreciate from Apple or Google.

TL;DR: Stop making stupid arguments.

As for the Google Maps ads, I never actually seen them to be honest. But I live in the middle of nowhere, North Carolina. :p
