You’re right, not realistically. And to be exact, Xcode 9 was launched on 9/19 (10 weeks ago). How long it takes to support iPhone X is beyond me.I'm not sure apps could really be updated for it at that time.
At that point the work can start on it. Depending on other work that might already be ongoing for apps and schedules that are in place and resources that are allocated and all that, it's probably not likely that everyone would jump on it at the very moment or even for a little while, and once they do, there's still the design that needs to happen for it, the development, the testing, the tweaking, perhaps some sort of limited external testing even (depending on the app), so that can take some more time. You’re right, not realistically. It hasn’t ? I use it everyday on my iPhone X lol. I know Google,Chrome, YouTube and now Maps work great with the iPhone X.
What gives? App Store shows that Google Maps is up to date, no pending update, yet it is not full screen on my X.
Make sure it’s version 4.41 released today? If not, I would just delete and reinstall since I noticed they skipped 4.40 for some reason...My google maps updated 2 days ago and still doesn’t support iPhone X display. What gives?
What reason? That apps will get updated for it soon enough with many already updated and those that aren't still being usable just fine?Just another reason to never buy a first gen product

Yep, that did it ... had to delete the app and reinstall it. Strange, by all indications it was up to date but deleting and reinstalling is what actually updated it.Make sure it’s version 4.41 released today? All the google apps have been optimized.

its not optimized? Now if only Apple would optimise their remote app.
No, but a company with the resources of Google probably could have had updates ready at launch by beginning to work on the updates at that time. I think that's all he means.I'm not sure apps could really be updated for it at that time.
Ahh haven’t used that in yearsIt's their iTunes remote app, the app hasn't even been updated in about 8 months.

The one thing that really bothered me about Google Maps was that it kept changing the route it wanted me to drive. I specifically picked a longer route because I wanted to avoid certain states but it kept going back to the original one.

Well, the theoretic/optimistic "could" is somewhat different than a realistic one: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...ort-for-iphone-x.2092174/page-2#post-25539047No, but a company with the resources of Google probably could have had updates ready at launch by beginning to work on the updates at that time.
