The fact that you had to look away to keep from laughing says a lot about you. Thanks for that info.
Yes. I can tell something that looks so stupid that the executives at Samsung laugh at the fact they are able to sell these things.

You must where some baggy clothes. One of my co-workers is a droid lover he has a huge Samsung. I put it in my pocket and couldn't stop laughing. He never takes it with him and leaves it on his desk. He talked on of the ladies into buying one and she hated it and retuned it for an iPhone.

You seem to like to laugh a lot over a phone. Whatever amuses you I guess

Personally -not that I've been using my Skyrocket for several months, I rarely pick up my iPhone anymore. Why? Screen is too small. I'm used to the larger real estate.

Yes. You're right. That's exactly what they are doing. They are laughing that they are able to sell the Note.

don't ridicule the note, apple too is into big phones with pens:

For the love of god, please let this be a 4.2" phone.

The way Apple's OS development has stagnated lately, I'm seriously considering getting a Droid next October. No way am I settling for a 5S rehash.

Wasn't meant to be funny actually. It's a sad depiction of many people on this forum

Oh - well I guess since a few people you know said it - that must be true for all these "cheap skates..." Seriously? What a bunch of crap. At least most of the people I know have spent the same sometimes more on their Android phones then they did when they bought an iPhone.

SO much hyperbole and condescension in your tone towards anyone who would dare choose something other than what you use. Just wow.
So we should assume that your code editing friends are the norm. Yeah right. The reason XP was a problem is because regular Joe felt safe and did know a bad program from a good one. These are the same customers who assume because their basic phone that was safe this one should be too.

How are you able to divine what these 'others' think?

Well I know of at least 4 or 5 people who I have communicated directly with who feel similarly. It's been discussed. So that's how I am able to "divine" what some others think of his posts/attitude.

Thanks for asking me to clarify. I hope you didn't think I meant that every other person who posts here felt that way.

Wow! I bet this thing will have some SERIOUS bullet points under the hood!

Mmmmm... bullet points...

I never said my friends were the norm.

For many people - their phones are safe. Because they aren't the ones downloading tons of app. After all - isn't it widely known that Android users don't use the internet based on all those reports? That most of these android users are just buying cheap phones just to make calls and send text messages. That's why android has such huge marketshare?

I get so confused on here because the "average user" keeps changing depending on the topic being discussed

Looks like all this thread is good for is flame bait and trolling. Since Samsung ales the lions share of Android in the marketplace I'm sure whatever this project is, is just as much of a challenge to Samsung as it is to Apple.

Android Doomsday soon it is then.

Looks like price war amongst Android manufacturers is about to really begin. I smell doomsday for them soon.

Once manufacturer A found the best selling form factor / screen size handset for Android, all other manufacturers from B-Z can simply clone it and stick Android OS to it which makes all phones pretty much the same.
The only way they can then compete with each other is to lower the retail price until profit is no more and not worth the effort making open-OS handsets.

Some people apparently think a phone they got subsidized for $150 somehow makes a statement about their refined taste.

You can act snobby about your Rolls Royce, sure. But your iPhone? Comeon.
Actually it was referring to how silly a huge phone looks up to someone's head. Just like the comedy skits showing it are. It would have looked ridiculous two years ago and just because someone says its cool doesn't change my view. 10 years ago I said saggy pants with underwear showing was terrible, even as it became popular culture my view never changed.

I'm no fan of iPhone but I think it is time Google give up on its ambition of developing its own hardware. It has tried multiple times so far and all it could sell is make its own employees use it...

Which hardware has Google manufactured and failed?

List 3 reasons why Android is "superior".

1. Notification Center is better. Apple copied Android for iOS 5 but it really sucks as they haven't made it more easier to use. Probably because if Apple copied any more of Android's features, Samsung would have more evidence that Apple has been copying the.
-expandable, actionable notifications
-quick toggles
-widgets
-multi-gestures
-swipe to delete

2. Google Now is better. According to newest test, both are equally reliable but Google Now just does way more things and is constantly updated unlike Apple which takes 1 year to announce new features that aren't even new.
-Scan music
-Traffic
-Packages
-Sports
-Movies
-Stocks
-News
-Translation
-Currency
-Public Transit

3. Better camera app
-Photo Sphere (360 Panorama compared to iOS 6's 270)
-More and faster editing options
-Use NFC to wirelessly beam photos and videos to others

4. Better keyboard
-Gesture typing
-better auto correct
-better suggestions

5A. Other features for Jellybean 4.2
-Lock screen widgets
-Multi-user accounts for tablet

5B. Other features for Premium Suite
-Multi-window (improved multitasking)
-Group Cast (share, collaborate, edit documents and presentations over Wi-Fi)

Hopefully Apple adds a couple of these in iOS 7. I mean why wouldn't they?
