I still dont get why theres Google Music and also YouTube Red

Google play music is for music and YouTube red is for video without ads and some premium content.

Either way, it's a package deal. If you subscribe to one you get the other.

I've had google play music since it was announced, and I think it's awesome. Still have it at the $7.99 promo price too.

Soon someone will offer a free 6 months trial... then 12 months for $9.99, and so forth...

Someone will eventually give up and there will be consolidation.

Reminds me of Sirius vs XM years ago.

The classic I will ignore you but will tell you that I am ignoring you.

Haha yeah. Internet battlez r cool.

Oh yeah, and just so the mods don't ding me for being off topic...screw monthly subscription services! I'll take 4 free months though.

I have Apple Music at the student rate which equates to £5 a month. Have to admit not used much (Doesn't help with how Air Play can be so unreliable).Bought an Amazon Dot on impulse for £39 and quite impressed. Now thinking about purchasing Amazon unlimited instead. In terms of Apple,Google and Amazon who has the most comprehensive music library?

Google, Spotify, and Apple all have catalogs of approx 30+ million songs. Depending on the genre(s) you're most interested in, none are really better than the other. Can't really go wrong with either. Amazon seems to have fewer songs than the others. I like Google because you get YouTube Red for free. Again, choose one and be happy. It really doesn't make a big difference which one you choose.

Signed up on my main gmail, which already was subscribed to GPM years ago when it launched.

I did a free 4 month trial about 3 or 4 months ago.... but I canceled, because I have an annual sub to Apple Music, which works for me. But I took advantage of this deal, because I really like having YouTube Red. I wish Google offered YouTube Red for $4.99 per month and I'd subscribe, but in terms of the music service I still prefer Apple Music.

Why people subscribe to services so they can listen to music.. I don't get that.. At the end of the day, you own nothing....

I would love to see the rough estimate of how much money a big company like Google makes off this from people that forget to cancel the subscription. I know I have personally been caught slipping by these kinds of offers in the past. I figure it has to be enough that it is worth it, even if nobody purposely subscribed I'm sure they must make a nice chunk of change.

Play Music... another Google failure that the media doesn't want to document.

Yet, Apple is doomed because of Ping or Connect, like they would be making a billion of dollars from that if that were super successful.

It's apple fans that have been complaining about ping and connect....

Play Music has poor sound quality which I why I did not keep it. Also I don't care about ad free YouTube as all I watch is a tech or science video now and then. Apple Music has better sound quality until I tried Spotify 3 months for $0.99 and the sound quality is even better too bad I have to say with AM as Spotify has much less songs then even Play Music has.

That is simple set a calendar alert or reminder alert a day or two before it renews. However, you could cancel tomorrow and you can continue the service for the full 4 months.

Just cancelled Spotify and signed up.. liking it so far and it has all the music I listen to.

It's worth saying that if English is not your native language or you live oversees, Apple Music is the best deal for you as it offers millions of tracks of world music in the US store. It is also way easier use a US account (Apple ID) oversees with Apple than Google.

Just asking, it the quality controlled by Apple, Google & Spotify or by the studios?
