The 'Glow' theme of WWDC will be to unveil a new look UI. I'm thinking softer shadows, embossed effects & glowing highlights/animations to give more depth while still remaining flattish. That's my guess anyway...
Pixel 5, I have none of those issues champ, and I doubt Siri is "Fantastic"

Gagging. I thought Android was really coming up with Pixel and deep Google integration. This trash looks like a feature phone. I actually prefer vintage Nokia.
This is a major upgrade, IMO. I develop on both Android and iOS. My current phone is a Pixel 3 and I still really miss my iPhone. Android 11 looks and feels about 6 years old, and 12 finally makes Android look modern comparatively. Now if it were only as fun to develop on Android as on iOS....
I think a lot more people would would move to Google if only they could be trusted.

Bruh, I got an iPad Pro (with pencil) that I never use. My phone does more than a tablet.
As far as a watch I have Fitbit (batter life 6 days), you can't say the same champ

Ummm… no? Android looks just like a straight up rip off of iPhone sans the privacy. The difference is it has watchOS icons.
Been waiting to put my icons anywhere I wanted on screen since my... iphone 4. More than 10 years later and i'm still waiting. Because apple knows best where my icons should go
And how android copied Apple in the first place. No apple no android. So be thankful for iOS.
The idea is that the OS matches the colors of the wallpaper/background image that you choose. If you pick one with a lot of browns, you'll get a lot of browns. But the idea is that you can (supposedly) change it to whatever you like. The theme with all browns is just an example.
I like Siri. I feel that mail is more streamlined than Gmail. I use the home app often, and it isn’t a total mess.
I find the new theming system in Android 12 to be very interesting. I also like the fact that you can disable the camera and microphone for all apps in the Quick Settings. The precise/approximate location is a welcome addition done to put it closer to iOS 14's options. Finally, the new Material New design seems to be a breath of fresh air compared to older Android and current iOS versions. I find the direction the design team is going to to be particular.
Not mentioned in the article is a "privacy timeline" that allows you to see when apps used the microphone, camera and location. I find the lack of this feature on iOS to be a missed opportunity.

I’m always interested in what Google and Samsung are working on. It’s a good glimpse of what features are being worked on and improved. Competition is good
and yet Apple relied tremendously on Google to sell their phone. No native Maps app, no native YouTube app, the iPhone would have been a failure at launch.

Apple maps is accurate enough to get me to where I want to go.
I am using the Siri watch face on my Apple Watch, which means I get to both view my calendar and access Siri from my wrist. It’s great being able to just go “what’s 70% of $59” without having to fish out my phone, for instance.
iCloud is iCloud and I use it for a variety of situations. Not sure what there is to be said about it.
And the best part is that I still get to mix and match them with Google’s services if I so desire.
There’s a certain irony here when it comes to choice.

Both systems (iOS and Android) are great to use and each has advantages and disadvantages. I like what Google showed today and look forward to what Apple will show. We have awesome choices available.
