You give Apple money via an iPhone or a Mac; you give Google no money at all. What do you expect?
I expect an option, to pay monthly and they offer their services.
Or I distance myself from Google as much as possible.

"Firmly believing(sic)" and having this be a universal truth are far and wide apart.I firmly believe that the Google haters are a way for Apple owners to justify to themselves the feeling they have just paid well over the odds for hardware that cost a fraction of what Apple charges its customers.
Other people may fee differently, which is to say that apps on the itunes app store are the best available.Whatever hardware I use be it Apple, MS or Android my apps of choice are Google - why? Well quite simply they are the best available.

What is your point? That you are allowed to express an opinion and MR members can comment on your post with their opinions? And some of those opinions are different than yours? So you have an opinion, I have an opinion, they happen to differ, what's your point?
You simply appear to have copied in my own sentiments. I assume then you agree with me, which is good. What is your point? That you are allowed to express an opinion and MR members can comment on your post with their opinions? And some of those opinions are different than yours?![]()
Just stating the obvious. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree that people should be able to express their opinion and they should expect a response in kind. You simply appear to have copied in my own sentiments. I assume then you agree with me, which is good.
That then just leaves objectivity - something I have found over the years that quite a number of Apple users appear to have an absence of.Just stating the obvious. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree that people should be able to express their opinion and they should expect a response in kind.Even if those people believe the itunes apps are the best or the iphones are the best things since sliced break and the other party believes something else.
So yes I agree opinions (and subjectivity) are a great thing.![]()
I found that many confuse subjectivity with objectivity. Like saying google apps are better than iTunes apps is a subjective not objective statement. That then just leaves objectivity - something I have found over the years that quite a number of Apple users appear to have an absence of.
Not me mind you as I don't subscribe to the view that everything Apple does is great, just the same as I would for Android.
I found that many confuse subjectivity with objectivity. Like saying google apps are better than iTunes apps is a subjective not objective statement.
3 is greater than 2 is an example of an objective statement.
What was just posted is illogical as best is subjective. Which is objectively a better flavor chocolate or vanilla?I think most 'objective' industry observers will readily acknowledge that Google's app suite is a superior product, so not subjective at all.
I think to argue otherwise would be illogical.

Yes, I agree that you’re correct based based on your bias (subjective of course) of your comparison metrics. That aside, you know I’m objectively correct. But you know I'm right for all your obfuscation.![]()
But none of that changes the facts where Google had a breach and didn't disclose it (the reasoning that they think nothing bad happened because of it or that nothing could be done in relation to it is fairly moot when it comes to the basic fact that it still happened and still should have been disclosed)."In an internal memo, Google's legal staff recommended against disclosing the bug because it would invite "immediate regulatory interest" and result in a comparison to Facebook's Cambridge Analytica scandal."
So, they chose to hide the problem rather than letting the public know about it?
"As a result of the data exposure, Google today announced that it is shutting down Google+ for consumers and introducing new privacy measures. According to Google, it put together a privacy task force called Project Strobe at the beginning of the year to review the company's APIs."
New privacy measures.. that will undoubtedly be kept quiet once they're also breached.
"Google explains that it did not opt to disclose information about the exposed data back in March because there was no evidence of misuse and no action a developer or user could take in response."
There is always an alternative action that people can take.. go elsewhere.
But the bias is almost universally industry wide. Even Tim uses Google search.Yes, I agree that you’re correct based based on your bias (subjective of course) of your comparison metrics. That aside, you know I’m objectively correct.![]()
I agree, i have criticized Google in the past but really hoped this thing would take off just because the community was nicer for the most part.I will miss G+. I used it for all kinds of stuff, inspiration, recipes, photos and I really can't find a comparable service so bummer.
It had an international user base which was nice because you could see things from a much broader perspective. You could turn any content off or on depending on what you wanted. You could turn it into your own person media rich notebook using private groups and of course search though that stuff only etc....
I guess all the people making jokes used something else, so what was it ???
It's a great pity social media was ever thought up. On the face of it it promised to be a force for good.I agree, i have criticized Google in the past but really hoped this thing would take off just because the community was nicer for the most part.
Seems like the issue is elsewhere. It's a great pity social media was ever thought up. On the face of it it promised to be a force for good.
However, it's pretty evident it's become an extremely dangerous tool.
There is no What the **** emoji but wtf???It's a great pity social media was ever thought up. On the face of it it promised to be a force for good.

Its a pity that the internal combustion engine was thought up but social media???
I for one find it convenient to converse with other people and exchange information no matter where they are.
Don't be so daft as I think they say.![]()
then you need to start a thread in the politics section
lot's of others including organisations are using it for nefarious activities at all levels. 'Wake up and smell the coffee' as I think the saying goes.
Cars are used for all kinds of "nefarious" things, even computers and phones themselves too...That may be all you do. However, lot's of others including organisations are using it for nefarious activities at all levels. 'Wake up and smell the coffee' as I think the saying goes.
If you want to expand further then you need to start a thread in the politics section or whatever they call the sub-forum.
