Forgot to add that if this is true, then Google is sinking to Microsoft-like tactics of buying an existing product instead of dveloping their own and beating them by making a better product.

There is nothing wrong with this tactic. Apple has done this time and again. When its cheaper to by an infrastructure or a software package then develop it from scratch a company would be foolish not to take advantage of an opportunity.
The only examples I can think of off the top of my head are OS X (Loosely based on neXt Computer's OS which was Steve Job’s baby that Apple purchased.) and Logic. (I think it was Logic.) Then you have the iPod OS that was developed by a company called Pixo.

How the hell would that be a good idea?

The Napster name is synonymous with piracy, how the hell did anyone think that a new 'Napster' would work??

Paying to download music from 'Napster' just reminds me that I could be doing the same exact thing, only for free.

Now downloading music from iTunes Music Store... well, why not, you already got an iPod, already have iTunes on your computer... you want that CD and no stores have it because WalMart destroyed them all and WalMart sucks at stocking CDs...

Investors can sure be retarded...

Cripes, if this qualifies as a mac rumour, we are going to have to include EVERY freakin acquisition, rumour and product out there. This is especially poor since this isn't even true.

If it is such a slow news day, I am sure that Griffen has released somesort of iPod accessory today. At leas that would be APPLE related if not so MAC related.
Simmer Down Now! It's news because if it happens, Napster becomes a potential threat to iTunes. And who owns iTunes? Apple. That's why it qualifies as a mac rumour.
