Google Geek TV

LOL
Well I hope they included a lot of packets because it looks like Google got them on this one!

What a load of crap. Who's going to buy this Google Geek TV for $300 that uses a keyboard as a remote? Only the Google Geeks!

Have you ever tried to use Logitech's Harmony? If you like complex, give it a try. Not for the masses.

Oddly enough, I happened to be watching Nightline last night and saw their piece on Google TV.

Clearly, this is not going anywhere in its current form. Just look at Sony's Google TV controller! You're expecting my family to use something like that, really?

Sad because I've wanted something like this since Windows Media Center was introduced in 2002. And I've tried them all --- Windows Media Center, Apple TV, SageTV, etc. No one has come up with a good solution for this.

After Apple's jokes at the expense of Media Center remotes, they're going to have a field day with this monstrosity.

What's sad is that I used to have a Sony TV (one that was fairly high-end in the mid '90s,) that came with a remote about that size/shape. No QWERTY, just more buttons than anyone could possibly know what to do with. (It was meant to control a Sony TV, VCR, and AV deck.)

crap, that logitech thing costs 299$ !!!!

I would consider it for 99$ ... How disappointing !
