It's not VOIP like Skype, it uses your voice service.
so it will use my AT&T minutes?

Yes, you still have to call to the service for it
to work - so that call via a cell phone cost you minutes.
Could I trouble anybody else for a Google Voice invite? It would be much appreciated as my request has still not been accepted.
Thanks if you're able!

Is it a bad thing to bug others about invites? If so, sorry. But could I have an invite? Derkatwork@gmail.com

Gosh I wish there was a way for the GoogleVoice texting to seamlessly work in a non-jailbroken iPhone. It'd save us all a bunch of money ....
Blame Apple.
However, the GV webapp is not too bad. It gets its job done and you receive texts in the form of emails.
Can somebody w/ gmail set up via Exchange on their iPhone verify this works the same way? Can somebody text your GV number, have it show up in your Mail application, respond in the Maill App, and have it successfully sent back? In this way you wouldn't even need the Web App ...
???
I also requested quite a few times and haven't got an invite.
Can someone send me an invite?

appreciate it!
