I prefer over the ear, regardless of brand. Earbuds are like putting something in my hiney: uncomfortable and unfulfilling.
Sorry if I misunderstood: I was simply saying that there’s no point in reviewing something if youre not actually going to review what it’s for. If you don’t believe there’s any point in reviews of headphones because it’s all subjective, then fair enough, but that wasn’t my argument. Yes of course sound is to a limited extent subjective, I prefer the Bosendorfer Imperial over the Steinway model D, and I really don’t get on with Faziolis: other pianists would argue strenuously otherwise. No-one would dream of purchasing a grand piano purely on the basis of reviews, but that said, no-one writing a review of grand pianos would purely go on about the quality of the french polish without also mentioning the sound and touch of the instrument.Wow, I didn't intend to come off that way at all. I was just trying to emphasize that I spent a long, long time comparing and debating over sound quality and in the end, just decided to enjoy what I enjoy and let others do the same.
Which buds S? Sony? Motorola? How did you find out the mics are good? Is there objective data out there? How are the mics working for you? I'm very curious!
It's more extreme... people want to know which earbuds are better so they know which phone to buyDumb article. If you own an iPhone why would you buy Google's earbuds? And if you own a Google or Android phone you'll most likely get the Google Buds Pro.
Ok, thanks! I'll look into them. My priority is always mic quality first and foremost. It's nearly impossible to find mic specifications on most non-musician grade audio equipment in the last 20 years.Well i said Link buds S - That specific brand is only from Sony. So Sony is the manufacturer, but in the future I will add that.
Sony LinkBuds S. I think Sony has re-worked their wind noise suppression in the latest versions.
FYI:
I own: Bose NC700, Sony 1000XM4, Apple Airpods pro , Sony Linkbuds S and Apple Airpod Pro Max. Used to known a Samsung Buds 2. So I have tried them all. My priority is on mic quality in noisy areas so everyone has their own priorities.
Also Linkbuds S are realllly light which is was one of the reasons why i took them. Buds have a issue of causing irritation over time.
Yeah. This is a PR content site. The only reason it does well is because it has normal forums, so the community centered here. However, the forums are tech oriented, with info available nowhere else. I can't understand why 9to5, or whoever, can't just add normal forums. For people wondering why sound quality and frequencies aren't included, it should be reminded this isn't quite that level of tech enthusiast site. Case in point, when a phone comes, we don't talk about the quality of calls or how often calls drop. It's how many MP the camera is, if the casing is made of metal, and what colors are available![]()
Ooo the BDörfer... I snuck in somewhere... after midnight, once, long ago, and played one. A real one. Unreal. Mystical.Sorry if I misunderstood: I was simply saying that there’s no point in reviewing something if youre not actually going to review what it’s for. ABSURD ARTICLE. NOT ONE WORD ABOUT HOW THEY SOUND. ABSURDThe tail on the AirPods at least provides a visible alert to people that you have heaphones in and might not be able to hear them.
Yep. I am happy with my QC buds on iPad, Samsung S21, and iPhone. And I like my Bose QuietComfort...
I appreciate your reply, and I need to read, read and re-read before I post in the future. I felt genuinely hurt to see how you perceived my intent. And the number of “disagrees” my post received confirms that I was wrong.Sorry if I misunderstood: I was simply saying that there’s no point in reviewing something if youre not actually going to review what it’s for. Some people like to be contrarians 🤣😂Dumb article. If you own an iPhone why would you buy Google's earbuds? And if you own a Google or Android phone you'll most likely get the Google Buds Pro.
Have you tried memory foam tips? Comply sells them but there are also cheap ones on Amazon/eBay.I have AirPods Pro and they’re ok, mainly because the fit is ok…just ok. I can run in them but never really feel like they’re securely in my ear.
Im beginning to wonder if I am just old (well, I am). I use headphones 98% for music, and my mind headphones start and end with listening to music. Thats the only reason I bought headphones 40 years ago, and continues to be today. However, I think many people use headphones nowadays to listen to podcasts and the like, where sound quality does not matter. Perhaps that explains how an article on earphones which literally does not mention sound quality can even exist.Perhaps I’m in the minority as a musician, but I really do object to articles about headphones that don’t even mention the sound (or even provide any frequency graphs). You’d never do a test of monitors without looking at the screens, or a test of a laptop without doing a few benchmarks, would you?

Can’t see how posts like this get many upvotes.Dumb article. If you own an iPhone why would you buy Google's earbuds? And if you own a Google or Android phone you'll most likely get the Google Buds Pro.
lol it would be convenient if it actually worked correctly. It doesn’t work 7/10 times, so I’ve had to turn it off completely on all of my devices and went back to manual switching. I mostly use them with my phone anyway.the convenience of fast switching with AirPods
