Wow, I didn't intend to come off that way at all. I was just trying to emphasize that I spent a long, long time comparing and debating over sound quality and in the end, just decided to enjoy what I enjoy and let others do the same.
Sorry if I misunderstood: I was simply saying that there’s no point in reviewing something if youre not actually going to review what it’s for. If you don’t believe there’s any point in reviews of headphones because it’s all subjective, then fair enough, but that wasn’t my argument. Yes of course sound is to a limited extent subjective, I prefer the Bosendorfer Imperial over the Steinway model D, and I really don’t get on with Faziolis: other pianists would argue strenuously otherwise. No-one would dream of purchasing a grand piano purely on the basis of reviews, but that said, no-one writing a review of grand pianos would purely go on about the quality of the french polish without also mentioning the sound and touch of the instrument.

Which buds S? Sony? Motorola? How did you find out the mics are good? Is there objective data out there? How are the mics working for you? I'm very curious!

Well i said Link buds S - That specific brand is only from Sony. So Sony is the manufacturer, but in the future I will add that.

Sony LinkBuds S. I think Sony has re-worked their wind noise suppression in the latest versions.

FYI:

I own: Bose NC700, Sony 1000XM4, Apple Airpods pro , Sony Linkbuds S and Apple Airpod Pro Max. Used to known a Samsung Buds 2. So I have tried them all. My priority is on mic quality in noisy areas so everyone has their own priorities.

Also Linkbuds S are realllly light which is was one of the reasons why i took them. Buds have a issue of causing irritation over time.

For people wondering why sound quality and frequencies aren't included, it should be reminded this isn't quite that level of tech enthusiast site. Case in point, when a phone comes, we don't talk about the quality of calls or how often calls drop. It's how many MP the camera is, if the casing is made of metal, and what colors are available :p

Ok, thanks! I'll look into them. My priority is always mic quality first and foremost. It's nearly impossible to find mic specifications on most non-musician grade audio equipment in the last 20 years.

Yeah. This is a PR content site. The only reason it does well is because it has normal forums, so the community centered here. However, the forums are tech oriented, with info available nowhere else. I can't understand why 9to5, or whoever, can't just add normal forums.

So this Google reminds of this cheap Chinese headphones, you can order in bulk
I have them and they sound not that bad actually. They cost about 10 dollars as well.

Which companies like Apple and Google being so green and always thinking of the environment (for example not including chargers with their phones) why don’t they make the headphones’ battery replaceable, like seriously, don’t tell me it’s for the IPX rating, cause they could easily do it as many products do.

Every set of airpods I have owned has died within a year. Strangely, my Beats of the same form factor are still going strong.

Ooo the BDörfer... I snuck in somewhere... after midnight, once, long ago, and played one. A real one. Unreal. Mystical.

I appreciate your reply, and I need to read, read and re-read before I post in the future. I felt genuinely hurt to see how you perceived my intent. And the number of “disagrees” my post received confirms that I was wrong.

I have AirPods Pro and they’re ok, mainly because the fit is ok…just ok. I can run in them but never really feel like they’re securely in my ear.
Have you tried memory foam tips? Comply sells them but there are also cheap ones on Amazon/eBay.

Perhaps I’m in the minority as a musician, but I really do object to articles about headphones that don’t even mention the sound (or even provide any frequency graphs). You’d never do a test of monitors without looking at the screens, or a test of a laptop without doing a few benchmarks, would you?
Im beginning to wonder if I am just old (well, I am). I use headphones 98% for music, and my mind headphones start and end with listening to music. Thats the only reason I bought headphones 40 years ago, and continues to be today. However, I think many people use headphones nowadays to listen to podcasts and the like, where sound quality does not matter. Perhaps that explains how an article on earphones which literally does not mention sound quality can even exist.

ABSURD ARTICLE. NOT ONE WORD ABOUT HOW THEY SOUND. ABSURD

Maybe it is because the sound produced, for the general user who doesn’t have e golden ears like you obviously do, is more interested in the features and benefits?

For the everyday user, any of these wireless headphones from the big brands is more than good enough.

If you want ultra detailed reviews, go to a specific review site. This ain’t that kind of review, obviously, and to expect that from MacRumors is presumably…. ABSURD IN CAPITAL LETTERS.

That said, pointing out how earphones sound is a good thing, but the author did point out they were impressed with the noise cancellation capabilities.

That IS a handful of words about how they sound, so please stop being ABSURD. 🤣😂

I got one of the like 10 JBL variant wireless earbuds for $99 at staples and they are awesome its just I hate wearing any earbuds or headphones for more than like an hour as they get irritating very quick. That's why I like speakers but apparently its not socially acceptable to blast music in the gym. alas i have to wear my JBLs btw my altec lansing speaker was $60 at staples and it is waterproof and floats in the ocean as clearly tested by almost losing it after realizing it wasn't on my jetski. also it sounds awesome and the battery lasts maybe 5 hours at full volume and i don't recommend using the built in wireless charger or cable charger as the battery drains much faster then.

the convenience of fast switching with AirPods
lol it would be convenient if it actually worked correctly. It doesn’t work 7/10 times, so I’ve had to turn it off completely on all of my devices and went back to manual switching. I mostly use them with my phone anyway.
