Why are you guys getting on the poster's back? He's looking for other uses than the ones he's already found. Sheesh, some of you Apple dudes need to relax and cut that hair that's across your collective asses.

well i love browsing on the iPad and it's even better on the iPad 2, it's just as fast, if not faster than my computer. it has more than just basic games, look at NOVA, Back to the Future, etc. i can get all my comics, i can get films and tv stuff. My PC just gets used to download other medai, sync my iPad & iPhone and whatnot. sometimes i will use the computer for stuff, but rarely these days. i use forums on it often and it's really not that hard to edit posts on it or copy and paste once you get used to it. i'm just as quick as i was on a computer. my emails come thru brilliantly, with my shared inbox covering my 4 accounts.

But each to their own, i'm not saying you're wrong, i'm just saying its working brilliantly for me

I'm sorry to hear that you have not updated your computer in the last 10 to 15 years and it's performing badly for you.

Or perhaps the WiFi connection of your computer, due to it's location is giving you a really bad signal, making web pages come up slowly :(

I'm guessing you buy your Movies from iTunes so the iPad is able to play them, or do you use your PC to covert them into a format the iPad can handle?

I bought Nova2 a couple of weeks ago, and played it for 5 minutes, not touched in since, as I instantly realised how bad it was to play by sliding your fingers over the smooth screen surface which was also the display I was looking at.

You're funny ain't you. Your post is full of alot of inaccurate assumptions.

Updated my pc 5 years ago. I have no need to fork out a ton of money as I don't need a high spec one, don't really play games on PC as I have an xbox & PS3 for that. The controls for most games done right aren't intrusive. You're exaggerating badly with NOVA to make you look right. As for my wifi, I have a nice steady 6mbps connection to the Internet thru my wireless N router. I can stream Hulu with ease if I choose to

As for videos. Again you assume alot. I use VLC mostly. There are many apps like that, such as cinexplayer that play all formats and don't need to convert.

I was merely stating how I, and others I know make good use out of it andstated it was my point of view, so why do you feel the need to judge something drawn from your assumptions about me?! You need to find something better to do.

V1 golf updated their app to be able to use the camera day 1 of the iPad 2 launch. I can now use the iPad to give golf lessons. No more carrying around a camera, stand and laptop for my lessons....oh yea! Fully justifies upgrading from the iPad 1 for me.
