don't you have to be invited to it by someone who goes to your high school?

sweet, i'm surprised more advertisers haven't realized that facebook users are all in the key demo (young, intelligent, soon to have disposable income).

well, young isn't arguable, but the last two... Ehh..

Has anyone else not heard of any of these bands before right now?

Could someone maybe please invite me? I'm a bit too old for school now. :(

You can join as an alumni as stated above. I was actually surprised to find alumni from my school on there.

How do alumni get the songs?

So I created a facebook account as an alumni. I'm logged into Facebook. What do I do next? Since it isn't obvious, I'm assuming the offer/link isn't valid for other than students.

You want to join the Apple students group.. I think that there are two, the first one I joined was wrong.. the correct group will have iTunes ads etc, very apple looking. After you join you will get a PM to your account, go to your account and click get the code... I think that these instructions are posted earlier in the thread.

Tanks again to the original poster :D

Completely bunk. Offer valid only in the US.

Facebook is a US based organization so it would make sense that it would only be offered to people living in the US.

That does it. I wasn't familar with Facebook and groups and thought Apple Students had to do with .Mac or something.

You don't need to be a student or an alumni. It worked with both my alumni account and my work account. Just join the Apple Students group and you're golden.

It doesnt work like that.

you have to have an email address from your school to even register.

Well I'm an alumni of high school and college but don't have an email address from either, so I guess no free tunes for me? :(

You can pick a small school which do not offer their students email address under their domain.

Well it has people from all over the world using it, so it would make sense that would be offered to people in other countries as well.
