Well it has people from all over the world using it, so it would make sense that would be offered to people in other countries as well.

The reason why people from all over the world are using Facebook is simply because people from all over the world come to the US for schooling and or work. Facebook is currently only supported by US colleges and companies. They, Facebook, claim to be, in the Terms of Service, "...the seventh-most trafficked site in the United States." It may be possible for companies outside of the US to join and it may be possible that some have but I have not seen any evidence of that.

I have a Facebook account. Many of my friends have Facebook accounts. Neither myself or any of them attend american institutions.

Good to know--I missed the first week too--but how do I get the code for the week I missed? Are we latecomers out of luck?

(This made me finally sign up for an Alum email address AND FaceBook... I'm downloading week 2, Electronic, as we speak--and that code said it was good through Aug. 31.)
