I had this same item for my Watch, and I hope your experience turns out better than mine. After a 10 days the protector was badly scuffed and after 2 weeks it peeled off. The material used for the protector is not as good as the original Apple screen, so theoretically it will visibly scratched easier. I guess you could just replace it again.

Every watch I've owned has gotten minor nicks and scratches. Part of ownership for me. I have a scratch on my Watch that is almost identical to yours and unless I look at it from certain angles, I never know its there.

Good luck!

Sometimes it's dependent on how the screen protector is applied. Most times, Armorsuit is a great brand with a reliable product. But being the Watch can get wet, sometimes moisture can be the culprit when trapped under the protector IF not applied correctly. But it's cheap enough to replace if need be.

I actually got one from a ZAGG vendor in my local mall. It was a bit more at $24, but they put the screen protector on and it has a lifetime guarantee.. BUT you have to pay $7 for them to put the new one on.

Sometimes have someone applying the screen protector is worth the money. Mainly being it's applied correctly. If someone does not apply the protector correctly, it bubbles and looks shoddy. I myself, would pay someone to do it, being I have vey little experience with them and I would rather have it applied correctly the first time.

I have experiences installing them, none of them good. I now pay someone to do it as well :)

Agreed. I experienced a lot of frustration getting mine to stick just right. I would like to find a similar product that wraps around the entire front and back(except the sensors). I would gladly pay someone to apply it next time.

That said, I had one of those Belkin Invisiglass screen protectors put on my phone at the Apple store. I liked the idea of them doing it because they have a nifty little Belkin machine that lines everything up perfectly and just kind of pressed it on. It looked great... for about 3 weeks. Then it started to come loose near the earpiece speaker and began to spread from there. Of course, there was only a 14 day return period. I probably could have taken it in and pleaded my case, but it wasn't expensive enough to take the time to do so.

Long story short, maybe I didn't do such a bad job when I did it myself. Maybe that is just how it is with those things.

I feel for you. Just scratched mine royally by accident against a brick wall after babying it since December.

Now I'm hoping that there will be a horrible defect and AppleCare will get me a replacement someday!

I bought my Apple Watch back in June last year, and I haven't had a single scratch. I'm very careful when wearing it. Scratches aside, mine is a Sport, so the anodizing is peeling off

The anodizing should not be peeling off. I would contact Apple or take pictures, submit them to their engineer team and see what they have to say for feedback. Perhaps you could be looking at a warranty replacement.

Mine is way worse. It's peeling around the edge of the display and around the home button. I did want to get a replacement, but then I googled it up and found out that it happens to replacement apple watches too. Oh well.

If it's happening where the anodizing is peeling off a replacement watch Apple issued, I think Apple should be aware of that. Knowingly how reputable they are and their hardware quality, that's something I would want to address if it happened to my Watch.

They are well aware of it. All they do is swap out the watch. There's no point because the replacements have the same issue. I'm thinking of selling mine and getting a Space Black.

I don't know that all the replacement watches experience this. However, I own the Space black and it's very nice, especially with the DLC coating.

Nice! Yeah it does look good. I love the all black look of the Space Black. I'm just worried that because it's polished metal, it'll get scratched easily. Still, better than the paint peeling off!

Believe it or not, the space black stainless watch is highly durable and is very difficult to scratch based off my experiences. It has a diamond like carbon coating on the watch that protects it, which the regular stainless model does not have. It's a very sharp watch, the only downside, is difficulty pairing bands.

Wow. I'm sold. Getting one ASAP. Oh I thought it would go with any band because it's all black.

Supposedly something to do with the way the logo and text are printed and only appears to affect the Space Gray, not the silver. Not sure why only SG. The stainless steel models are engraved, so no issues with those.

Diamond-Like Coating (DLC) is pretty durable stuff. Some engine manufacturers, use it for coating cam followers, piston pins, etc. I am sure the durability depends on the quality of the coating, but it is more resistant to scratches than it might look at first glance.

Brown leather bands pair well, there are loads of third party bands to choose from and link bracelets are also very nice, with affordable third party options.

The Arrow and Board shell cordovan/black (pictured left) also looks like it would pair nicely with the space black
