Oh, by the way. I'm 15 (16 in 4 months) and I payed for this iMac and everything with it myself using 2 years of saved cash and hard work with my family's business. And let me say again, it was worth every penny!!! Review soon to come!!
Congrats on the new Mac and your financial responsibility. I'm glad you got to experience first hand that hard work really does pay off :)

Custom 42" iMac
Wow. Where'd you get it and can you post a picture? ;)

Buying a new Imac soon; looks awesome!
Re Boot Camp, I wonder which to get -- XP or Vista? Any suggestion here.
Thanks.

Congrats on your new system!

Congrats on the new machine! I'm a recent switcher myself. I came over to the Mac in January after being on PCs for more than 18 years (from the DOS days...hehe)

OS X is so much more advanced than Windows, I can't believe it took me so long to switch, but I had to save up just like you did, good job on that :)

congrats on your new machine, i will be getting one myself this weekend, after owning a macbook for 2 months as my first mac. what made you go with the 3.06? just curious because i am torn between the 2.8 and the 3.06.... HDD in the 2.8 is enought for me so basically it comes down to the GPU, I dont do any gaming at all on my computer only on PS3 and rarely, i do some very light and amateur video and photo editing, other than that its web browsing, chat, email, dvd burning, itunes etc... so i dont really think i need the better GPU or wont really notice any difference to justify the extra $400. but having the top of the line product is always so apealling.

Thanks guys. Really, I went to the 3.06 for a number of reasons.

1. From my Dad's side of the family, we have always bought the biggest, top of the mine machine. Be it computers, tree equipment, etc.
2. Salesman was too good. He talked me and my Mom into the 3.06.
3. Bigger HDD
4. And most importantly, I just wanted to say I had a machine that broke 3.06Ghz!!!

Congrats on the new iMac and the hard work you have put in to earn the machine.

Yes, congrats on the hardwork!! It's a very satisfying feeling knowing you worked hard for something.. makes using your computer that much better.. I know I worked hard for my iMac :)
