I can still see the shininess of my phone with my case. I just like to protect my device.rather not have to deal with the inconvenience of a cracked screen then having to goto apple lol

To each their own, it's all about perception in the end. If it looks like plastic to you it's going to feel like plastic to you. The mind is more powerful than people think.
Update: Returned the silicone case today. Just wasn't enjoying it much. Lint was sticking to it and the corner started to peel. I was going to try the black leather case but they were out of stock so I have a midnight blue leather on it for the meantime.
you dont like the feel or the look of it? i would go for the leather case me too
