I'm surprised by how many people don't have insurance on their phones. Even if you have to pay for it what would it cost, £120 a year maybe. Seems worth it to me.

I have had to use my insurance once before when my wife broke my phone, ran up at 10am and had a new sealed phone that evening delivered to my home. I get it free with my bank but if I didn't I would be more than happy to pay for it just for the peace of mind.

Not sure how much you'd get for it with full disclosure of the potential water damage.

True... but I've had luck selling devices so long as I prove it turns on and off. Depends solely on the buyer.

the rice will work in that your phone will turn on, but you'll probably have condensation and some water spots on your screen (even after drying)...it won't be a good thing. I'd just get a replacement.
