Not sure what to make of this, but before 3.1 i could sit in my house with my 3gs and get a pretty strong lock on my location in Maps. After 3.1, it gives a pretty wide range of about a half mile or so radius for my location via 3g. Did something change with the GPS sensitivity in 3.1?

Highly doubt it. The only firmware that was supposed to modify GPS pinpointing was 3.0. The change was a +5% increase in GPS accuracy.

i didn't think so either... i wonder what the deal is... i mean we're talking pretty large variance from where it says i am vs where i actually am.

Go outside for a moment and see if it is the fact that you are inside your home that scrambles the GPS signal a bit.
