*Heat issues when gaming!

Not a problem. I don't mind slight discomfort on my legs when I'm happily playing Tiberium Wars on Ultra High on the train.

Yeh i love the future aswell....i bet theyve got 8cores for notebooks and 128cores for desktops, they just dont release them cause its a money making tactic! Montevina i think might also be quad-core...

Well, I know they have 16 cores for desktops (Whatever happened to Tigerton???) And I'm sure if you were willing to spend say 2 billion dollars on a new Fab plant, Intel could make you a 16 core notebook "now" (minus construction and design time, which would probably take more time than we would have to wait now anyway). I don't think it's so much of a money making tactic as a practicality issue. Until they roll through a few more dye shrinks, there is no practical way of getting 128 cores in a desktop. Who's gonna make a case that can fit 32 individual quad core processors plus cooling systems for all of them? And if you want them all on the one chip, the defect rates would be extraordinarily high. And of course there's the issue that the chip would be like 20 cm each side...

Whoa! It's a quad core notebook!
Wait. It's twice as heavy and twice as thick as a MBP...
'nuff said.
