Graft leverage case - I want I want I want... (Update: I got).

Graft Concepts Leverage

For those of you that have the case

So is the a lip on either side of the case so camera lense nor the face gets scratched ? If not what screen protector are you folks using

Thanks

Yep, it's raised on both sides so that it won't scratch. No screen protector for me.

I got mine today and man, this is a nice-looking case. It has a great feel in your hand, too.

Other than the metal latch, it's all polycarbonate, yeah. It has a matte finish though so it provides a good bit of texture. It's not slippery like some cases.

Just received the case

Initial impressions: Quite rigid, not a pliable plastic. No bumpers or cushions on the inside, Great craftsmanship and superb fit. Dont think it will offer much protection in case of a drop. Has lip on both sides.

Time to post some photos guys!!! just saying....:D

I'm terribly bad at taking photos, but here's a decent pic of the lip. I don't have the back cover on at the moment.

Honestly what impresses me the most is how well the removable back cover fits. You really couldn't tell it was separate.

Just got mine and I hate to say it, but I'm not overly impressed--I think it looks better in photos than in person. FTR I have a black/matte on a white phone.

I found that the bumper portion went on with ease, but the backplate is a royal PITA to get in and aligned, and once it's in, the fitment is good but not excellent IMO along the top and bottom sides of the phone.

That said, I DO have PS Crystal films on both the front and back of the phone. While I did eventually get the case on, I noticed after my first failed attempt to put the backplate on that some areas of my rear screen protector needed to be pressed back down, and my screen protector on the back was/is absolutely perfect without a hint of dust under it, no air bubbles, etc. Now that the plate is on though, I have no idea if behind it it has begun lifting my films.

It does feel good in the hand, but the latch seems a bit meh IMO.

I don't know, I'm really 50/50 on whether or not I like it and will continue to use it, or return it. I don't feel it's worth $65 though, $35 would be a more appropriate price point in hindsight. :|

You may have gotten a bad one, or else it just doesn't want to cooperate with screen protectors. My fit is perfect and it just fell into place -- I didn't have to mess with it at all. I honestly wasn't going to use the back plate, but I really like how it fits/feels.

Yeah I'm not sure if it's the PS protectors or what, but those are razor-thin, really. It's not a bad case by any means, and I do like the feel of it, I just don't think it looks as good as the pics make it look, or that it's worth $60. Also I don't really like the little gap right below the screw when it's all latched up--easy place for dirt to get in and accumulate.

Thinking I might return it and just take my chances going naked...?

What kind of case are you looking for puma? What would be your prerequisites?

After playing around with the case I've found that the notch where you put the metal clasp into touches the phone. So the metal is touching the metal of the phone, which is not good. I've already got a minor scratch trying to get my case on because of this design flaw.

Hard to say, I'd probably just go naked (but with my PS films). On my iPods, I swear by SwitchEasy's CapsuleClassic/CapsuleThins/CapsuleWhateveriPodModel clear hard plastic cases paired with PS films and have not one bad thing to say about any of their products. Thus my initial thought was to get the SwitchEasy Nude, but then this came along which I think is probably a bit better case. I scoured the forums looking at seemingly every single case there was, but nothing really stands out to me in general, I dunno.

I don't know, I really hate cases on my phones, but I really hated having a shattered screen for about a year on my last 3G.

Undecided really. I'm pretty careful with my stuff, but all it takes is one sloppy drop and it's over.

Lucky you. I'm from Maryland too. Bethesda to be exact :D

no i live in texas... but my case is in maryland....? everyone else said it's shipping from CA.

i'm so confused.. i paid for faster shipping (priority) and i figured it would be closer to me by now. i just don't get why mine is the only one shipping from MD or if thats an error?

Do you notice any signal loss due to the metal on metal?

Took mine off to notice my rear film lifting in numerous spots, and to my dismay, the light scratch on the top too. Nothing more irritating than a case that scratches the phone. Having trouble getting the films to set back down completely now too, so I guess I can add a new set of films to my list of wasted money.

Returning it. Not happy at all. Nice case idea, good quality, but poor execution.

I say if you decide that you want to return it, you should just sell it to another member instead for what you paid. That way you won't have to eat the 15% restocking fee and the other person can get the case fast without having to wait ;)

Just my $0.02
