This looks to good. I think their on to something, here with this app. I can'not weight too give this a try.
The English language takes a beating daily.Half the world needs to download this.
Periods mean anger? So I guess that means "Good night. I love you." would be interpreted as "GOOD FREAKIN' NIGHT WHORE! I HATE YOUR GUTS AND I WISH YOU WERE DEAD!!!" Darn it, and I've been texting my wife "I love you." for years.I've read that some linguists actually consider "text speak" its own dialect. Correcting to standard english grammar in these situations could actually be perceived as jarring or even cause confusion in your message. Just as an example, it would likely put a period at the end of every statement and that would convey anger/seriousness to most text recipients when that wasn't the intended tone. As a fan of formal grammar I like the spirit but I think the practical implementation won't be successful.

Honestly, I think people would simply get used to it. I too am a fan of formal grammar and appreciate when fellow texters use proper grammar when they text me as I do when I text them. One of my most jarring texting experiences was when my mom finally got a cell phone and suddenly I'm getting texts from her like "R u comin over 2day?" And I'm like "WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY MOM... PERIOD!"
It’s not that i couldn’t do that. It’s just why should I have to? Same with sticker packs for that matter. Even having a folder of junk is rather obnoxious.Yea. Putting them in a folder would be quite hindrance
Some articles/discussions about this should be of some help:I started to add the keyboard. However it said that the developer can read anything you type even if you typed your credit card number or other sensitive information. Is this a valid concern? After Equifax I am a little gun-shy.

I know the source isn't necessarily authoritative but it was the first link in Google...

It is definitely a "thing" and well known in at least my generation.
i'd probably use this if apple didn't require there be an app icon for every keyboard installed, turns me off of using anything different.
i'll try that out, thanks for the tip!Actually, I installed GBoard and have been able to delete the app. The keyboard still shows up in my list under settings. I can enable and disable as desired with no app icon to clutter my homescreen
This is good.
