lol i use AIM all the time but never noticed it doesnt do it as shown above

2.0.x has the bubble below the words making it hard to hit keys that were directly under them. 2.1 has the bubbles on top making it easy to hit they keys without accidentally closing the bubble.

In other news, since the MobileChat developers "fixed" this bubble bug themselves by manually moving the bubble, they really created a disaster on 2.1. Look at the screenshot below:

The thing is, I've never really found any way to move the bubble...unless there's something in the frameworks that you can change (which I never thought we developers were allowed to do...).

Somehow they figured it out... maybe they edited a nib file manually or something. I don't know how this stuff works. All I know is that it's broken for MobileChat because they cheated. Hahaha. It's funny if you think about it.

not to mention that no matter how much potential MobileChat has, it's a bug-ridden POS that never works right...

Actually, the only problems I have with MobileChat are more little problems like not all buddy icons displaying, or how received queued chats show the current time rather than the time received, or how the buddy list doesn't refresh all the time.

Other than those, I've had a good experience with MobileChat...one time I had the program closed for about six hours. After that, I asked my friend on the phone if I was still online, they said yes. I went back into the program and got all the messages received in those six hours (albeit it took a while since it was a ton of messages).

cause it's a firmware fix and I'm sure there are more iphone users who use aim than iPod touch users :p.

What's the status on the AIM App these days? I haven't downloaded it yet, but I use AIM on my computer. Does it work as we would want/expect it to work? No text message charges or anything like that? :)

Odd. My AIM hasn't worked since I installed 2.1. I've reinstalled AIM as well and it will not load my Buddy lists, and crashes when I try to manually send an IM to someone.
