I bought the Luxe Lean. The OP's pics don't really show the cheese grater vented sides...pretty darn ugly IMO, but it was the least bulky of the available cases at BB. With the case on, the phone looks like an over designed Verizon Android. So very un-Apple.

I'm waiting for a case that brings back a nice rounded edge and curved back. The 3GS is so much more ergonomic.

I just picked up the Griffin Reveal from BB as well. I saw the other two there as well. What attracted me to the Reveal was the clear cover on the back and rubber side bumpers ($5 less than the Apple bumpers and including the clear PC back seemed like a good idea.

It's only been an hour, but I am a little concerned about dust getting between the back cover and the back of the phone. I was very meticulous to wipe out and then use compressed air to clean off the phone and Reveal, but I already see one tiny spec in there. Could tiny dust particles lead to scratches on the back glass?

The only other thing...does the cutout for the headphone jack appear to be off-center (front to back) on other posters Reveal cases? The tiny mic hole at the top is almost hidden under the black rubber. I definitely have it seated down as far as it can go.

I do like it so far though! Very comfortable to hold as well.

Clear will scratch easy dirt and dust will show thru the glass. The ifrogz lean is thenonly good case out right now. Or a cheap rubber one.

In your opinion? Or is this written in stone somewhere? :p

I'm sure the Reveal will let in some dust, but until we can hermetically seal our iphones within steel prisons that we can only peer in on from behind 6" thick glass, it'll do just fine for me!

Maybe you could just carry yours around in it's packing box until a better option comes around! (kidding :p)

It's cheap cheap clear plastic it will wear fast.

I picked up an ifrogz Luxe Original in red and black today at BB. I am surprised that I like it so much. It should hold me over until my SGP vintage leather case and white Apple bumper gets here. Then I will wait for Vaja to bless me with a case. I got really excited today as the "coming soon" came off the home page for the iphone 4 cases - but when you went to the product page it still had the form for them to email you when they were available. :(

Slimfit was interesting but afraid the back plastic back was scratch prone & would look like crap after a while.

Would it be ridiculous to stick a cheap screen cover on the back of it? I'm tempted!

It makes the black iPhone look whitish.

You should totally pass this info on to the "I Want White!" crowd! :p

So OP, do you think the Apple bumpers have any advantage here? I think they have fancy metal buttons for the volume, but that's it. Oh, and thanks for this review BTW! :D

I took a best skins ever screen protector that I was using on my 3GS and took it off and reapplied it to the back of my reveal to prevent scratches. It was either that or throw it away so I chose that and my case still looks great on my 3GS after 6 months.

Can you please post pics from the camera with the flash activated with each of the 3 cases...cases apparently are causing glare issues depending on how they're designed. The reveal has the problem while the vue does not...it'd be nice to see some samples...thanks.

Thanks for the post! :)
I guess I'll wait for the incipio feather as that's the one I really want, but I need to find a cheap silicone case for the time being!

+1 Any discussion of cases needs to include this. Does the flash worth properly with it?

I'm using the iFrogz Luxe Lean and so far I really like it. I have the invisible shied on the screen. No issues with reception at all, no matter how I hold it.

iFrogz LuxeLean

Question about the iFrogz LuxeLean: Does it stay on the phone well? I went to Best Buy to look at some cases, and that one had the best look but seemed kind of flimsy, like the hinges wouldn't really hold the phone in place. My phone is still being rerouted to me, so I can't test it for myself. Any testimony on this?

I got the iFrogz Luxe - the dual tone one. I love it, except the place where the two pieces of the case meet and snap together is raised, making the phone unbalanced when it is lying flat on a surface (i.e. it rocks around if you try to use it without picking it up).

I picked up a blue-black ifrogz luxe original from BB just for some temporary protection until I get a bumper. The fit seems to be very snug all around; the openings for the holes are appropriately sized; I like the feel of the case; and it offers protection for the back and all around the sides. I'm really starting to get used to it (I wish Apple was making a bumper in this color) and may just keep it after all. I do wonder, though, how well it will fit with a screen protector on the face.

I picked up the Griffin Reveal. Overall I like it. It keeps the profile of the phone at a minimum, and fits pretty snug.

My only real complaint is that the back plastic is obviously very cheap. Mine had little scratches/imperfections on it when I opened the box. But it will protect the back from getting scratched up, which is it's job, so I can't complain too much.

I may try a more sturdy case as manufactures start coming out with them, but for now, this is a fine case.

I picked up a purple Belkin Vue. It is still clearish just has a purplish tinge...I really like it so far. The phone feels snug inside and feels less slippery in my hands now. I wanted a different case but who knows when it will be out or if it will even be sold here since the maker is in Australia. The volume buttons are a little difficult to press, but not bothersome to me.

I'm going to pair it with a full body invisible shield and I also put the entire iPhone in an iPod sock when I'm not using it. So I'm feeling pretty good about protection.

What do u think offers better protection with the zagg invisibleshield, the Belkin Vue or the Apple bumper?
