No other car company claims to have solved autonomous driving. Only Tesla has the courage to sell a product for thousands of dollars that does not exist, and apparently can get away with it 🤷‍♂️.
Because they believe they have full service driving solved aka robotaxi.
As I said, I will believe it when there will be a liability shift. It should be easy for Tesla to assume responsibility, if their software is indeed far superior to a human driver.
Okay but if you believe v13 of fsd is humans driving, you don’t know what you dont know.

It is amazing the number of people who have already posted and shown their thinking is derived from pure propaganda.
Yes.

I had no opinion one way or the other on Elon Musk before reading Issacson’s book. After reading it, I have a more nuanced, and more favorable than unfavorable, view of Musk.

The popular media hasn’t presented anything but a stream of unfavorable coverage and Elon himself makes it difficult to look beyond the eccentric and impulsive behavior. So, I understand the negative reactions expressed here.

However, there are a lot of smart people here that might not have such a negative reaction if they knew more than just the headline “news.”

Musk has been publicly lying „believing“ about year after year after year.
Their repeated failure to deliver (and take responsibility has of course not stopped them from charging good money for it.

Teslas are great cars, but yeah, I can't stand Elon, and refuse to use his products going forward. I just sold the Tesla last week.
Just out of curiosity. You didn’t need to sell the Tesla. You decided you weren’t using “his” products and got rid of it and replaced it with a non-Elon vehicle? If so, I applaud you for putting your money etc….

this is one of the dumbest statements I have ever read. By this same line of thought you must live in a bear cave somewhere with bare communications then, since every major advancement has come on the broken shoulders of someone terrible in history.

Just a guy with a lot of money who invests. He is meddling in places that he doesn’t belong, I wouldn’t waste the saliva to spit on him.
Since when do you need to be the critical thinker in a company in order to be successful?

Tim Cook, is a great administrator, but he is not Steve Jobs...

It took a guy like Elon Musk, with all his money bags to pay the best people in the world to do the kind of things they are doing in Tesla, Space X alone... you think those guys get paid $15/hr todo what they do? No. Those companies pay top dollar to those engineers.

Thoughts and prayers don't move the world, green hard cash does... moolah does... So please stop being sanctimonious about him being only the "Money Guy"... and thats why he sucks...

Tesla has delivered maybe late, same as Apple
They has not delivered yet (not on Elon‘s robo-taxi/FSD promises anyway).

Full Self-Driving (Supervised)“ is an Oxymoron:

„Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (Supervised) are intended for use with a fully attentive driver, who has their hands on the wheel and is prepared to take over at any moment. While these features are designed to become more capable over time, the currently enabled features do not make the vehicle autonomous.“

That’s not a robo-taxi.
That‘s cars with assisted-driving features.
Based on this the FSD system on Tesla Vehicles was on its infancy and nowhere near where its at now.
Based on Elon‘s public claims and Tweets, it was as good as ready and capable of driving autonomously.
