I had no opinion one way or the other on Elon Musk before reading Issacson’s book. After reading it, I have a more nuanced, and more favorable than unfavorable, view of Musk.
The popular media hasn’t presented anything but a stream of unfavorable coverage and Elon himself makes it difficult to look beyond the eccentric and impulsive behavior. So, I understand the negative reactions expressed here.
However, there are a lot of smart people here that might not have such a negative reaction if they knew more than just the headline “news.”
I don't know much about FSD or autonomous driving in general. I'm just saying that until Tesla assumes liability, it's not "self-driving". It's very simple practical point.

Based on this the FSD system on Tesla Vehicles was on its infancy and nowhere near where its at now.
