So GT5 won't be coming out on 2 November after all. :rolleyes: I can't say I'm surprised really. PD always keeps pushing back the release date. Bad timing for me though, since I just paid off the remaining balance of my pre-order just the other day lol.
 
No way! Damn this sucks! :mad::mad::mad: It's not even funny anymore :(

Hopefully it won't be delayed by more than a week or two :(
 
It sucks for sure, but we can expect it to come out 'this holiday season' according to the blog. I guess it's not too much a bump.
 
I don't see how this is a bad thing, i wish more Dev's would do this.
I would rather wait until they get the bugs worked out, then a game be released riddled with bugs, then we have to wait for them to patch it.
 
Not quite Duke Nukem' forever, but close.

I've been waiting for this release for quite some time now, while I loved the graphics of the demo they released (what 2+?) years ago I was not thrilled about the game play changes. I hope that's what they've been working on.

HAHAHA!!! The devs at PD have lost their mind if they think they will make a "Perfect" game. No game ever released has ever been perfect, but they think they can do it? HAHAHA!!!!

LBP2 and GT5 Damnit there goes my Christmas list, guess its mostly blu rays this year for me. :rolleyes:
 
Ok according to Sony it still planned for "holiday season so i guess its at least beginning of December maybe
 
Eh, I won't mind as long as it's as perfect as one can reasonably expect, unlike Codemasters F1 2010 which is a damn shame. (Seriously I am peeved about that one...)

I have quite enjoyed each evolution of the GT series so far....even though its a touch bland with no real career mode IMO.
 
I'm sure the main reason for the delay is to include a mandatory 3.50 firmware update on the disc. Sony really aren't happy about people staying on 3.41 ;)

Makes you wonder how many discs had already been pressed though and if any of those will manage to survive destruction.

That sucks, I had already gotten approval to take Nov 2 off, to sit in front of the tv and play this all day. Not any more

Rumor is it's a production delay and not a development delay.

The games finished, Sony couldn't produce enough discs for demand on release...

Or you could say that the development took longer than it was supposed to thus the production started later and now it's delayed. I'm 99% the root cause is the development
 
By the time they finish it a new Forza will come out and they will have to start over again.
 
Well, not surprising, but this time it looks like it's not a master delay as it has been the last few (thousand) times, considering people have already payed for the game, etc.
 
yeah it's so terrible that PD would rather delay release and make sure the game is as polished as possible rather than put out a half assed game full of glitches and bugs.

It's not that...it is them not being able to be REMOTELY realistic with their launch dates that grinds my gears

well to be fair, i dont think they really planned for Forsa (which started the whole delay anyway). what they should have done is bring it out anyway, then start working on GT6. (imo)

Forza has been around since 2005 since the original xbox and has had 2 iterations since the initial game. It is almost laughable at how GT5 is progressing.

I mean even the Prologue edition was over 2.5 years ago
