GTA VI - Trailer 2 and new screenshots

If the game launches in Nov 2026. It will be 1 year late. Internal Xbox and PS console sales forecast will be linked to GTA6. It's expected that tens of millions of gamers with buy a Series X or Series X just to play it. A true short term exclusive.

This makes it less neccessary to envigorate console sales by launching PS6 in late 2027. It allows more breathing space to break even/turn a profit on hardware sales. The last thing you want is short term financial pain from gamers holding off buying a buying a PS5/PS5 Pro for GTA6 because a PS6 will be released in late 2027.

It's a signifigant game like a Frozen movie or Taylor Swift tour that has a billion dollar impact on its industry.

I am sure there will be, but I don't think they need to bring out any trailers. If they just kept us all in the dark with only what we know now I believe the game will still be the best selling launch game of all time. Rockstars track record is solid. Would be an interesting trial to stop all advertising and see how it goes. Of course no one wants to play around like that, especially with the money put into the game.
 
Saw some gamer podcasters, or whatever they are called, report that GTA IV is going to be all digital. Even if you buy the game from a local store, the case will only have a digital code in it, so no physical discs at all which means no used games ever. Based on that I will just be buying a digital copy myself. It is supposed to download and install a week before release so on release day you are able to play right away.

or what? It is not even coming out for PC on launch, this is a console game. The bar is incredibly high for Rockstar games, GTA V and Red Dead 2 are in my opinion the best games ever made for deployability and they are second to none in terms of detail and story telling. I bought my PS5 for GTA VI. I had a PS4 but rarely played it anymore as I do more on the PC.

I think it is a safe bet it will be a very WOW trailer if they actually start showing gameplay and mechanics for the game. The game has been in development for 12 years and Rockstar is the king of the mountain when it comes to games if you like story and open worlds. If you are a first person shooter person then I get why the game would not appeal, but other then that nothing will come close to this game for a long time I suspect.

I think showing a decent amount will be beneficial several reasons. It will stem the appetitive for leaks but also mark the start of expand Q&A to more people.

There are probably Take 2 staff who are working on the game but have not seen what will be revealed. It's the type of game for which development has been on a need to know basis.
 
I'm going to "pre-order" 2-3 days before release. I'm not giving them my cash as a free loan and it's not like they're going to run out of digital copies. And I'm still hoping for some sort of Collector's Edition (albeit with a download code :'-( )

I am doing the same, though as far as I have seen you don't get charged till release day anyways.

Xbox has the best refund policy. If a game a is buggy, you can request a refund and instantly get your money back. Not with Sony! that's one big advantage of buying digital games instead of physical on the xbox.

Definitely sounds better, though I prefer discs when I can. No matter what the return policy is the exclusives for playstation are just more in line with the type of games I like to play. Xbox exclusives are few that I would actually play, and if I did want to play them I can play them on PC.
 
Sony are really a bunch of donkeyholes when it comes to refunds and related customer services. I really don't understand what their problem is. Absolutely disgusting.
