It was John Malkovich, but it was in 'In the Line of Fire' with Clint ;).
Good one. This movie has probably the best Clint quote of all time:

"Well I'll be thinkin' about that while I'm pissin' on your grave!"

No one but Clint could pull off a line like that.

(there's still one quote that no one has gotten)

"Darling. Light, of my life. I'm not gonna hurt ya. You didn't let me finish my sentence. I said, I'm not gonna hurt ya. I'm just gonna bash your brains in. I'm gonna bash 'em right the f**k in. Ha, ha."

The Shining. And still no one has guessed this one:

"This is rumor control... here are the facts."

I'm stumped on yours but try this one:

"Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. "

Ok. I'll go a little deeper in my movie quotes this time. How about:

"Do NOT go in there! Whew!"
Ace Ventura Pet Detective (I think).

That one has passed into popular culture almost :D.

Here's some more:

"Anybody want a peanut?"

I know people mentioned the princess bride, but this quote I am assuming is also from it. Fezzik (a.k.a. André the Giant) says it as they're sailing away right after they captured Princess Buttercup

Inigo: You have a great gift for rhyme.
Fezzik: Yes, yes, some of the time.
Vizzini: No more rhymes now I mean it!
Fezzik: Anybody want a peanut?

Here's one for you all:
"Sans toi, les émotions d'aujourd'hui ne seraient que la peau morte des émotions d'autrefois"

a couple of my favorite

1. "Ted Nugent called, he wants his shirt back"

2. "Nice apartment, lots of space'

3. "REDRUM"

4."No ticket" --- (this is a two parter; what film was it first in, and what film made a reference to it in the same manner?) (i'll give you a hint for the second part, it was two of the three words he spoke the entire film)

3. The Shining

4. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? I know Indy says it on the blimp when impersonating a steward. He throws a guy out of the window... gets everyone going mad getting out their tickets etc ;)

you got them --- but can you tell me when it is referenced again?

i'll give another hint -- it's from the same movie

"We figure an abortion clinic is a good place to meet loose women. Why else would they be here unless they like to [****]"

Dogma was the second film I'm sure. It's the only time Kevin Smith speaks in the film after he throws Loki & Bartleby off the train. edit: yes, two of the three words and not the only time he speaks

mkrishnan, you know your Airplane and your jive ;).

Probably enough material in that movie to sustain a thread on its own :D.
Actually, we did that once in another forum I used to go to. Yes, there's that much material in the two films.

2 quotes from 2 of my fav movies.

1. "You're wearing my hat."
2. " Be careful Ryan, most things in that room do not react well to bullets" (haven't seen this movie in forever, i think thats how it goes).

BTW, #163.

#1 is Ocean's Eleven, great movie.

3. don't know....

it was the Ten Commandments

in regards to dogma
yes it was 2 of three words
because Kevin Smith also utters "Thanks" at the end of the film

Alright -- i got another

It's all one quote

"Rule of thumb? This little thing?"
"Can't do much damage with that"
"Maybe it should have been"
"The Rule of Wrist?"

2. is the original "Batman"...actually said twice, once by Bruce Wayne and once by Jack Napier.

1. is driving me crazy, because I know the line, but I can't think of the film!!!
(Edit: never mind, clykins90 got it.)

Here's one from a fun little movie from about twenty years ago. In response to a comment about her legs, this busty, bubbly babe says "Yeah, they go from my ass all the way to the floor".

Oops. My bad. the film in question was released in 1989, so its only sixteen years old.

This movie has been done several times already, but this is one of my favorite quotes:

"You knew Jesus?"
"Knew him?!! N****r still owes me $12!!"

This is Dogma also, right? That movie was so funny. LOL, everything's always happening to the Black disciple.
