Hey you guys out there, i followed the introduction to jailbreak the 1.1.2 iPhone.
    But something went wrong.

The Guid tells me at one point to Kick my iPhone out of the Recovery Menu, after i did that i started my iPhone again and wanted to go on. (Next step would be to go to Safari and visit the site where i get the installerapp)

But when i start the iPhone theres a Message for me:
    SIM Locked
Insert an unlocked and valid SIM to activate iPhone.

And under it there is the Button - Slide for emergency

[[ i alrdy unlocked my iphone after i bought it. Im from Germany and i bought it from T-Mobile. So there is no way to enter my pin or something i think..?

Than i thought of just following the Guide and try to unlock it again. So i followed the Guide for noobs ^^ and slided the emergeny button then i typed *#307# and called it. but than comes a message: Error perfoming request SIM PIN Required. So what to do now??
When i try to connect to itunes so i could restore it to 1.1.2 iTunes tells to insert a valid simcard. but my simcard is in the iphnoe? could someone help me ?

edit: i know i asked it before and there are some other threads but i never got any answer so plz dont close it and help me ;)

Does iTunes give you any Restore or Update options to your iPhone?

you must remember that it is recomended you use iTunes 7.4.2

Also, was this an OTB 1.1.2 iPhone? What guide did you follow?
I ask you because these questions can help me understand what you did and figure out a way to help.

    hey, i used this guide:

i downloaded iTunes 7.5 from apple homepage, after i got the iPhone !

After i got it, i also activatet it via iTunes and everything was right.

Than i saw all this jailbreak and summerboard videos on Youtube... so i found this site and followed the guide :) thought it would be all right.

Mhm but for some reason when i start my phone after kicking it out of recovery mode, i cant use Safari or something cause theres only the screen with the world which tells me to insert a valid or unlocked SIM to activate iPhone.
    - But my allready activated SIM is inserted..><

i thought maybe i just follow the guide and try to unlock it again, so i slided the emergency button and typed *#307# but when i try to call it my iPhone doesnt ring or something thtere comes an error :Error performing request SIM PIN Required.

    i have a PIN but where can i enter it o_O ?

I hope this helps you, to understand what i did wrong :) Cause at the moment my iPhone is useless for me..
If you want i could also make a video what it looks at the moment..

if nothing will help i would also like to know how i could restore it back to 1.1.2

Ah and to your last question: When i connect the iPhone to my iTunes, iTunes look for my iPhone but cant find it cause there is no valed SIM inside.

So i cant even restore it to 1.1.2, cause iTunes won't find it..?

edit: i dont even know what OTB is? ;)

    Ok to start the help:

    1. OTB means Out of the Box State. In other words the firmware version your iPhone had when it was taken out of the box and configured.

    2. A SIM pin is not a good idea, since blocks out the *#307# trick, because of the pin to the SIM.

    3. I *highly* suggest for further things you follow this guide-->

    4. Ok to help you a bit in your iTunes-won't-detect-my-iPhone-because-of-some-message-problem. Follow these-->

    a. Connect your iPhone to your computer.
    b. Hold down the Sleep/Wake botton plus the Home botton.
    c. After 10 secs release the Sleep/Wake botton and keep holding the Home Botton
    d. iPhone will go into Restore mode or DFU (another Fancy name for it)
    e. iTunes should pick up on the DFU iPhone and prompt you to Restore which you should.

***These steps are found all over the internet if you feel like checking them over. They allow you to return to 1.1.2 without any problems (however, I cannot say successfully because you SIM pinned your SIM card). What you can do is go to an AT&T store and they can remove the pin in the SIM.. Hope this helps***

PS - Search and download iTunes 7.4.2. iTunes 7.5 gives to much problems sometimes.

Hope this all helps, and as always the obligatory warnings...modding iPhones whether software or hardware runs on the risk of the owners.

Edit - I also have with me the manual way method to do things (this means using iPHUC and command lines). Not recommended for new people, but the guide is easy for those who have computer knowledge at a basic level. I used this on mine, and mine workd 100% fine

You can try putting the iPhone back into recovery mode, and connecting it to iTunes.

Another option that may work, is to download iNdependence and see if it can connect to the phone. If so, use it to put the phone in DFU mode, and then restore it with iTunes.

I think the first mistake was misspelling "Guide". :D
