Guitar Hero 3

GH3 was good the first 2 times i played it on my mac, then the controller crapped out, and redoctane wont do **** for me because i dont have the receipt. Buy it at your own risk, cause if you do, the customer service sucks ass

In what way is the controller broken? If the Strum bar, any of the fret buttons, the start/select buttons, the usb cord, or the whammy have stopped working try http://www.guitarheroparts.com.

Suhweeeeeeet!!! 😀 I can't wait!!! Or can I... 😕 I just realized that most of the charts are in expert mode ONLY... Which is a real bummer to me because I've only barely began medium, after getting the game 2 weeks ago 😛. Oh well, still great to hear the news!

If you register at www.scorehero.com, you will have access to the custom songs database, at which point you can filter out only charts will EMHX charted.

There are over 1,000 "full" charts.
 
broken tilt sensor?

ya i had a problem with my controller too... it messes up the gameplay:
sometimes when i try to activate star power by tilting the controller a little too fast, it acts as if i am pausing the game, and i miss subsequent notes or drop holds on long notes, which pisses me off greatly when trying for fc's
the notion of getting a new controller seems out of the question.
any other suggestions or ideas?
 
So I'm not sure if anything ever came of this, but I am very curious about the prospect of having custom songs in my mac version of Guitar Hero 3. Is there any news about this? What about Guitar Hero Aerosmith? Thanks!
 
I've had it for about a month, and it plays fairly good. It does lag in heavier parts though, so I highly recommend turning off the crowd (setting it to empty), it really does help. Oh and I recently saw a mac program "Guitar hero speed booster" Or something, that turns off the background animations, and sets it to black, so even people on mac minis can play it apparently 😉 google it
 
Any word yet on adding custom songs to the Mac version on your Mac without using Windows yet? I'm really in need of some new songs to play now. Thanks.

I'm also wondering if there now is any possibility to get custom songs into the game without doing all that things in windows. Tried going til scorehero.com, but seems the site is down or something. So, is it possible to:
Download songs/songspacks
Put them into your Guitar hero 3 game

and then just play them? Without having to orchestrate every songs and installing GH3 on windows etc etc.. ?
 
GUITAR HERO 3 WON'T LOAD on MAC

I've had GH 3 on my MAC Book Pro since christmas and it has been working great. Just yesterday I tried to load it up and it won't open. Now what I mean is I move the mouse over the icon to start the game, click on it, the icon jumps a few times and then....Nothing. The game doesn't start, no error messages or anything.
I don't know what's wrong. I've tried restarting the computer, ejecting the disk and loading it again with no result. I could delete the game and reload it but I just unlocked all the songs on Quickplay and finished easy mode and I don't to start all over again. But I just purchased a converter cord(amazon.com) for my PS2 controllers so I can use my Wireless guitar controllers and I REALLY WANT TO TRY IT so I know if it works and if I have to send it back.
Any suggestions would be excellent.

Does anyone know of a fix for this? I re-installed the game and downloaded the 1.3 patch from Aspyr and still nothing.😕

OK EVERYBODY LISTEN UP!!!!!!
I found the solution for the above mentioned problem I had and it didn't need a reloading of the game.

I called Aspyr and they told me that because of the new Quicktime 7 upgrade that it has made Guitar Hero III and Aerosmith unable to load, but they have fixed it with a simple download.
You go to www.aspyr.com, go to the support icon at the top of the page, on the following page, go down the list of games and look for GH III and GH Aerosmith and download the package. Once downloaded(this worked for mac so not sure about PC), delete the game icon in the game folder on your computer and replace it with the one you have just downloaded. The game should work fine.
If you still have problems, contact Aspyr and give them the info. I had no trouble contacting them and they were very helpful.
Enjoy playing the games if this works and if you want to play me, I'm TurboTJ online with Guitar Hero III.
