GP 5.3.1 with Rosetta is now logging me out!!!

 Just started happening 2 days ago... in the middle of editing a file, my account would spontaneously log out, ending up at the user login window. How incredibly frustrating. The other frustrating thing is that I have been messaging the GP staff directly at the customer support site for the past 2 weeks, and have as yet received no reply whatsoever to any of my messages. WTF??!!

So in the meantime, I'm not sure what to do. I think I'll try deleting the preferences file, perhaps that may help. I'll also deselect "Open Using Rosetta" to see if the crashing comes back. I can't abide the slowness of using 5.3.1 with Rosetta.

EDIT: deselected "Open Using Rosetta" and it's back to crashing all the time. Now a file I was working on is corrupted and I can no longer open it without crashing the program. ARRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!

Just got this reply from GP customer service:

Hello,

I apologize for the delay in responding.
The RSE is still unstable under Snow Leopard. It is therefore advised not to download the RSE sound banks, or to uncheck the RSE option is you have already installed them.
We are currently working on a solution to this problem.

We remain at your disposal for any additional information you may require.

Thanks for the updated links. I swear, as much as I love using Guitar Pro, sometimes you gotta wonder if the people at the top are asleep!! No offense intended to the developers of this fine product.

So, I updated to 5.3.1, but now the Tools window is transparent all the time! ARRRGGHH. Is anyone else experiencing this as well? Makes the window unusable now, which is almost as bad as the program crashing all the time.

Two things:
First, there was an error indeed in the download link on the GP website. It's been fixed, and now what you get is indeed the GP5.3.1 version running under Snow Leopard.
Still be careful that the RSE is unstable under Snow Leopard, and should therefore not be activated.

The other thing: to modify the transparency of the tool window, just go to Preferences (Guitar Pro menu, top left), and look to the right of the box: you have the possibility to make the tool window more or less, or not at all transparent.

Hope that helps.

I cant seem to find the "open in Rosetta" switch. Where should I be looking on the Get Info window?

Guitar Pro 6 0 wont run!

Purchased Guitar Pro 6 and downloaded the application from the official site. Installed it to the MAC. The application will not run. All that happens is the icon just bounces manically at the bottom of the screen and jams up the MAC. So have to force quite and uninstall the download in order to use my MAC. Am very frustrated as have no working guitar pro and the guys in France seem unable to help. Any ideas?????
