Early access on Steam. Looks good. Much more depth than say "World of Tanks" but requires a little study and as of now there is no multiplayer. Anyhow, anyone playing?

If so, here's a quick I don't know very much guide to the first Instant Action Scenario: Abrams Alley. Relatively easy because of the modern sights.
Abrams Alley (Laze range finding and leed generated)
  • Before Scenario Starts- Go to Settings>Input>Mouse> and check Invert Aim Control (Palm Switch). This lets you move your gun with mouse position. (If unchecked, you have to hold RMB and WSAD to move the gun.
  • Start in Command View-(You’ll be in Command View on top of the tank). Check Shell loaded (lower left), it will be AP, since this scenario starts with personnel carriers you can:
    • Shift- Switch Gunner view and select “1” for the next round to be HEAT.
  • Shift- Return to commander view and start moving (WSAD) to Position 1 on Map (M).
  • Move Turret in Commander View (Hold RMB)- Moves the turret to where the camera is looking
  • C-In commander view toggles between 1st and 3rd person exterior tank view.
    • Note- In Gunner View, C toggle between auto and manual range finding. Preferably you want the green cursor, not the sight with heights.
  • Move tank to Position 1 (WSAD)- RMB moves turret to where camera is looking. You control camera by moving the mouse let or right.
  • When target is spotted
    • The gunner starts talking to you something like “Gunner PC Traverse Right, Stabilize, Lase, Fire” he’s telling you he sees a target to the right of the gun, move the gun right, stop on target, lase for range distance, and fire.
    • Stop tank- SHIFTswitch to gunner view. You’ll see a big orange diamond, center top of screen with an arrow indicating the way to turn the gun, if the gun is not pointed at the target.
      • Traverse Right- Turn gun, tank right.
      • What you do with the tank hull is up to you, but it’s desirable to keep the tank front hull (thickest armor) pointed at the threat.
    • Aim(Gunner View)- slew the pipper to the target.
      • Stationary Target- Hit E to Laze Range and FIRE (LMB) with pipper on target.
      • If Target is Moving- Hold E with the pipper on the target and follow the target for 1.5 sec. This computes Lead, FIRE (LMB).
    • If target is hit, you’ll see an explosion or a lot of white smoke.
    • Your gunner will tell you to reengage or direct you to the next target.
  • After targets destroyed move to Position 2. Engage 3 tanks,
  • Misc
    • I noticed there are several occasions where the Gunner will call out a target, and you won’t see anything. I suppose this could be a glitch in the game. You may hear target lost. When a target is called, I stop the tank, go to gunner view, swing to the direction the target is called. If I see something I laze and shoot. If not, I switch back to Commander view and continue to my current destination. In this instant action scenario, it’s position 1 or 2.
    • Also note that when I did this from position 1 and 2 did not reveal all the personel carriers, so I had to drive around the map. One one attempt, I found 3 personel carriers directly to the left of Position 1 up the hill, but this was after I had been to Position 2 and killed 3 personel carriers and 3 tanks.
    • Damage and Repair- If there is damage to your tank, there is no repair built into game. You have. what you have to work with. If track is damaged, you are stuck where you are at and it’s unlikely you’ll complete the scenario unless the enemy is programmed to converge on your position. I don’t know yet if this happens.
    • What if your sight and auto range is damaged? You got to wing it with manual sight. I’ve not reviewed this yet. Will add.

Game is far from finished, the Campaign feature is really a place holder with instant action style scenarios. It has no progression. And the game in these scenarios can be brutal, with one shot kills. If you have a platoon of tanks, you can switch to another alive tank.

Still I’m happy I supported this game, playing in the actual instant action scenarios. It has high fidelity and a good feel of what tank combat is like. Here’s hoping it gets to full fledged release status.
