Apple Watch X will probably look like the Ultra in a smaller size.

Nope. To work, the “shell” would have to be a rectangle, open at the front (for the watch face) and back (for the sensors, which have to contact the skin).Imagine the apple watch itself is more like a module that sits into a band that's an empty shell. The shell holds the apple watch moduel with it's magnet. It will fit snug within this housing. The controls physical buttons will be built into the shell, like the watch crown. And the watch will have little points of contact like that ipad keyboards. This way apple can make a more unified model line with the moduels being glass and aluminum. And the watch " cradles " or " housing " being different types of metal and colors. Allowing apple to sell you a wide array of expensive to wildly expensive band sets.
#1 Did you look at the name of the Site? (MacRumors) #2 He's been dead on for years now.No one else remember when he said this about series 6 Apple Watch, said it was coming, then nothing. Gurman knows nothing. He can say what ever he wants and it gets coverage
Well, Siri did almost lead me into a harbor once, so…maybe?Does your iPhone with MagSafe go wonky?
But now you’re poking holes in the case. I suspect the Apple Watch is mostly bulletproof BECAUSE it doesn’t have any access ports or other voids in the case.Alternatively, add a usb c port. I know space is an issue but it is theoretically possible

A AW 9 in ceramic would motivate me to buy. I don't believe the magnetic band rumor.I love my Series 5 Ceramic but I've been thinking it may be time to finally sell it. I haven't worn it since I bought the Ultra.
How‽ The only thing they say to do now is make sure the compass calibration setting is enabled (mine is). Other than that, there is no other way to do it. You used to be able to do that thing where you moved your phone in a figure 8 or something, but that was a while ago.You may need to recalibrate
You'll see the new processor this year. It's worth noting that the processor hasn't changed from the Series 6 - so it will be interesting to see if they wait for the X for the next processor upgrade.
The SE will also be around for a while still with the old design - that will be the last "legacy watch" I'd wager.
Nope. Surrounding any form of compass with magnets is such a bad idea it's laughable.Looks like big form factor refreshes next year - iPhone 16 and Watch X. Hold your upgrades if possible.
It's about time Apple redesigned the Watch band system. The Vision Pro is all magnetic - they can take inspiration from that.
Pops in the the bottom. Like the housing sets top it. With the watch band around your wrist. The watch having a bevel or lip like the apple watch holding it snugly. It wouldn't fall out because of the magnets. And while around your write it's fimly planted.Nope. To work, the “shell” would have to be a rectangle, open at the front (for the watch face) and back (for the sensors, which have to contact the skin).
b.i.n.g.oI love it when rumourmongers like Gurman make predictions that are so comfortably far in the future that when they don’t pan out they can turn around later and say, “Apple changed its plans” for x, y, and z excuses.
This particular rumour also smells like Apple putting a dummy project in front of an employee that they suspect is leaking info.
just that? lol. I kid, I kid but blood pressure and blood sugar is the holy grail... they are absolutely working on it but they are super difficult problems to solve in a watch. your current watch may not survive long enough to wait for those features...
