I work on a daily basis with people in their 60s, 70s and 80s and they all struggle with accidentally entering into split view, or pop-overs. They don't understand it, and it gets in the way. It used to be optional, it is now mandatory. Yeuch.
Not just that demographic. Scribble is a generally good feature but 9 times out of 10 if I try writing in the address bar it activates split view / slide over. These are the things that annoy — when the UI gets in the way of using a product.

On iOS/iPadOS, it’s a mishmash of apps that have their preferences in the Settings app (mostly Apple’s first-party apps) and apps that have their Preferences in the app itself (just about every other third party app out there). It’s arguably one of the worst aspects of iOS’s user interface design.
Except of course permissions and notifications, which are for some reason (also) located in a separate third-party Settings.

>> The Health app is not expected to expand to iPadOS or macOS

I mean really? and let me guess.. still no wallet app or calculator for iPad. LOL. I'm sorry. Apple is a joke now. At what point do people say "this company is making garbage and is 5 years behind"?

Ill buy the new phone and get the new OS cause I'm dumb.. but I will definitely be trying out the fold 4.
I don't see the value of the Health app in the iPad as most of the data now comes from the watch. On OS X however, there I see an issue where it can be linked to the iPhone.

hoping we do see interactive widgets. if we don't get spilt screen then hopefully we at least get this as would be so useful for podcasts and music alone.

Scrap new emojis, please
THIS! For god's sake, do they have a basement full of 6 year olds constantly dreaming up new emojis - enough is enough - focus on the OS Apple! It is so disheartening to watch some Apple exec extolling the virtue of the new emojis (or latest watchband colors) instead of explaining why they couldn't add a meaningful feature in the new release.

You realize that Apple doesn’t come up with the emojis, correct?
The Unicode Consortium select the new emojis, Apple just implements them so people don’t get those annoying gray boxes whenever they are sent.
Also, people obviously love them so why on earth would Apple abandon them or not show them any attention?
You realize that Apple *has* to have things to attract regular customers to their products, correct?
And it’s certainly not just a Tim Cook thing. Anyone remember Steve Jobs and Phil Schiller’s several demos of Photo Booth and iChat’s goofy effects?
Or the iPod Sox?

Having transitioned away from Alexa in my home to HomeKit, I'd love it if Apple would release a device that works similar to an Echo Show. iPadOS won't work for this type of 'family device'. It shouldn't contain any person's personal text, e-mail, photos, etc. It should be able to run apps and have an always-on screen. Having the option to run this OS on an iPad would be a nice option. Many of us have a spare iPad that's used by multiple family members and we don't want it to contain personal info (just like the device I mentioned above). If not a separate OS, at least a 'mode' for iPadOS that does this.

you can already do this.
As far as I know you can share a photo album but not the entire library. Libraries are based on an individual apple id with each family member having their own library. I want one library synced with my spouse but with separate apple ids. Maybe I am missing something.

So, I’ve never tried this, but photo albums don’t contain copies of the main library pictures, it just references back right? Is there a limit into how many images can be in an album? Is it possible to copy your entire library into an album then share that album?

I believe there are limits in quantity and quality.

I realize all of these points - and iPadOS 16 addressed my concerns, but my point is still valid. iPadOS 15 was a real flop given the M1 iPad Pro reveal...

And you were saying...Memoji Hairstyle Editing
